aRE yOU uSING tHE Domino's app?

      • it shows when you login to the website ordering portal .. so thought i'd give it a go :p

    • +4

That's not an error message… It's just telling you to download the app since the voucher will only work for the Domino's Offers App

I honestly don't think it could be more clear

      • -3

my issue is … when you go to the Domino's website … it actually loads the advertisement in the website version of it.

If this was only available through the app, they should restrict it so that it doesnt show up on the website … it is misleading

        • +1

They are trying to get you to download their app…

  • +2

Didn’t show up in offer app but pop up came in main dominos app.

  • -1

$4.95 is about all they're worth isn't it?

    • +9

Not really. They're probably making a loss or very close to it.

      • +5

Yeah, franchisees freak out when head office run promotions like this for this reason.

        No way this is sustainable.

        • +1

This is why I don't really buy much from dominos anymore. My local franchises reject nearly every coupon released by corporate.

          • @Rochie: I work at a dominos store and we have been losing money nearly every single month since july because of coupons like this.

            • +2

              @ryanwe: u didnt check box employee/associate

              • +3

@capslock janitor: I'm not sure if I should since I am just a regular driver at a dominos franchisee owned store, nothing related to coupons or these decisions ever gets passed by me and I certainly don't want people to think I do hahaha

        • +2

I think they freak out because it gets posted on ozbargain ;)

      • If you are just valuing the ingredients, these would struggle to have $1.50 worth of ingredients included but of course you can't value a pizza on that alone.

    • +1

No, its usually $14, even with a coupon it usually only goes down to $8

    • +1

About 10 years ago a meat lovers cost around $3 in food. That's a 60% food cost which is definitely unsustainable considering wages/bills. I can only imagine food cost has increased since.

      • +6

Yes, food cost and wages have increased but the size is also definitely much smaller than 10 years ago

      • Not to mention now it is 10% GST and 2% in EFTPOS processing, so before they even start, they only get $4.40? Minus food cost, employees, oven and electricity to cook it, box/packaging, napkins, IT systems which facilitate the order and photograph every pizza to upload it to app etc.

        • +1

GST has been around for 20 years…

          • @Fobsessive: Also people dont seem to mention that corporate reimburses the franchise for every coupon deal…. you could argue in a roundabout way that the franchise fees also make this possible but this has always been the case.

      • They are probably making some money on upsells to offset the low margin. So even though a true OzBargainer would be saying no to each side offering, there are probably 'normal' people out there that don't mind adding a side, or other toppings. They probably also get a net gain in marketing subscriptions, thereby increasing future sales.

        • And they force those 'offers' at you from 3rd parties when you finish order, they must get paid to do that

    • +6

Ngl, the Dominos pizzas where I live are really quite amazing. They taste sooo good, and don't comply to Dominos quality stereotypes :)

      • My local Domino's is pretty loaded with cheese and toppings!

  • Anyway to get more than one?

    • +6

Coupon should be generic to order more than once : 500527

One pizza per order at $4.95* price

      • +16

One pizza per order at $4.95* price

"Hey, picking up for Bob, please?"
        "Erm… which one?"
        Sees 8 orders on screen
"Umm, all of them are mine."

        • +5

"Why did you order so many?"
          "I forgot to order some"
          "…8 times?"
          awkwardly "yes"

      • You Sir/Madam/Ms are my MVP for today

      • Thanks, however this code only allows me 2 in one order. The rest are full price.

        • +1

How many do you need to order at one go? Just place multiple orders… one for the kids, one for the wife, one for the dog, one for the mistress, etc)! ;)

      • +1

Yup just ordered multiple pizzas in the one order using this code! :)

    • +1

I could only get one with the code - when I went to add another item the ad popped up regarding this deal and when I accepted the offer it added another instance of the deal, allowing for two in the one order.

  • Thanks OP

  • I got 2 and I felt guilty πŸ₯ΊπŸ₯΄

  • -3

Still think the $10 before 4pm is much better, but what the hell it's a bargain either way.

    • +1

Could you explain? Imk, $10 is double $5, therefore in OzBargain terms: "It's not a bargain" :)

      • +1

Because the pizza is premium, not traditional, and you get a can and garlic bread, where the BBQ near lovers isn't, it's traditional with far less toppings compared to a fully loaded supreme, that allows you two change toppings, and is on going, where this is debatable.

But I love people like you, less rational impulsive by choice.

        • I mean fair enough about the can, but what if your purchasing it to take home… Most people have their own drinks at home, and would benefit from the purchase of a single pizza for half the price instead

Also, the Domino's pizzas where I am are cooked really well, and they aren't stingy with the topping whether it's a value pizza or traditional

Also, when you say "people like you", keep in mind you're referring to the perspective of a majority of the OzBargain community

          • @Zackeroo: It's a premium pizza though, not a traditional. So Mega Meatlovers vs Meatlovers. Then upsize for $3.

Then there's also a garlic bread, and one of the can options is 7-up which is hard to buy cans of in stores.

            • @NobalaKoba: where can you buy 7up apart from fast food places?

i dont think i ever saw them at woolies or coles or anything?

              • @ATTS: Catch and Kogan, but they're usually stupidly expensive. Not sure about elsewhere, but possibly Costco.

You can also buy bottles from Coles.

  • Picked one up one my lunch break just now.
    Thanks OP

  • +2

Could not be used at Joondalup, Western Australia

  • CSA: The everyday $5 sausage and onion pizza is a good alternative to meatlovers. New deep pan is great.

    • +1

      csa?

      you mean beef and onion?

what's different about the deep pan?

  • +1

is it because someone ordered 10 in the previous $1 garlic bread, thats why this time they limited it to only 1 per order?

  • 'meat'…

  • +1

Do they state when "limited time only" expires?

  • Thanks OP - lunch for tomorrow is ordered…

  • +1

That is 64.6% savings; deal is upvoted!

  • +3

I'm using the app and getting the message "The voucher 500527 is not accepted by your selected store (Hornsby)

    • Same here

      • +1

try a few diff stores around

        • +2

All good, realised you have to actually add the pizza after adding the voucher.. doh.

  • +6

I highly recommend changing the sauce in the app from BBQ to Pizza sauce.
The BBQ sauce tastes like sugar syrup mixed with artificial smoke flavour.
The Pizza sauce is delicious savoury goodness and is the perfect match for a pizza.. go figure

    • +3

I couldn't agree more, I always make this swap!

      • for beef&onion, gotta rock the bbq sauce and basil drizzle yo

    • +3

Gave your suggestion a go. I will find out in a few hours πŸ‘

      • +6

        Well???
I gotta order a romantic dinner for me and the missus and I need to know!

    • Already ordered, will try that next time.

    • +1

Cheers mate thanks for the recommendation

    • +1

That's my usual pizza. Deep pan, BBQ meatlovers, tomato base(pizza sauce), with 2 free changes. - pepperoni + chicken, - Italian sausage + chicken. On the app, it counts as 5 changes, so always do it instore, and it's only 4 changes…!
      Go figure 🐨🚬

  • thanks. just got home and didn't feel like cooking.

  • +2

Installed the app, put in the code then add the pizza. Then saw the pop-up ads for the same thing. So I ended up having two of them for $9.90.

  • Voucher not accepted by bne cbd queen st.

  • Android app for Dominos doesn't work. Just opens a web browser.

    Then it says

The voucher 500527 is not accepted on this device.

    • Try it on mobile.

  • -3

half price pizza for all your private information. a steal!

  • DNA Busters is a 'fun' play on what exactly?

    • +2

      Dumb.

This is why we can't have nice things.

  • I got one yesterday for 7.95 with another coupon because this one was rejected.

However, it was amazing. Best dominos I've had in years.

  • Expire date please

  • +1

By the comments, it looks like some stores are rejecting the coupon.

    This seems pretty bad.

Especially when I saw an TV Advertisement about it. If the company is spending the money on TV Ads, then it should be covered at corporate, and every store should accept.

The scumbaggery of companies and franchises, forcing franchises to take the cost for promotions.

    • I walked into a store two days ago, and while I was going for the $10 premium pizza, with can and garlic bread, I picked it up at 4:20pm something, but when I picked it up, the manager took my order, and started looking at the receipt, (the guy was covered in gold chains) but kept looking at the receipt as if he was being robbed or was shocked, as I left he started talking to the employee about the receipt in another language.

      • You had a coupon for $10 premium pizza, can and garlic bread?

        • It was a online order, yup, the deals stil going.

          Before 4pm

          • @[Deactivated]: Wow, I found the coupon under "[Selected Stores] Any Premium/Traditional/Plant Based Pizza + Garlic Bread & 375ml Drink $10 (Pick up, Before 4pm)".

It actually works for my local store.

My local store is usually a tightass and blocks most coupons.
