"Not the cheapest ever but still a pretty decent price for a 65 OLED!"

    About $1000 more than C9

    • I haven't seen a deal for those in a long time, are there any left in the wild? Agree the comment doesn't specifically relate to this deal, but some could argue the benefits of the C9 over the CX (and vice versa)…

      • Yea, I was just commenting on the "not the cheapest 65 OLED", not exactly the CX model. It's $1000 more than prev gen deals

    • +1

yes, just wait for price drop,at least below 3K.

  • Really want this for the series x but waiting for next year TVs to see what they have to offer.

    • Yep I'd wait for microled, coming from a c9 owner.

  • +1

Which gift cards? You've written the percentages, but not the names of the cards?

But have to be part of a union and $1000 a month

      • Oh wow thanks for that, must have missed that when it was posted. My wife has union membership. Will keep that in mind next time I try purchase something from one of those places.

      • How long do they take to send gift card?

    • I know I get 4% off JB Hi-fi gift cards through RACQ. Not sure who is offering 5 or 7% off.

  • When I add the code it comes down to
    $4,178.55

What am I doing wrong? How do I get the price in the title?

    • Anyone?

      • +1

Yeah no clue what you are doing wrong mate, it’s on sale for $4195 then put in the coupon code when checking out to get 11% off.

I bought one two days ago at TGG for $3455 inclusive of delivery. Receipt if anyone wants to price match.

    • +1

      Wow that’s a killer deal!!

    • +2

Wow! May I ask how you got this deal?

      • +1 I would also like to know that’s a great deal

      • I believe you just did.

I showed the salesman a receipt from a QLD JB store lol, he matched it straight away without hesitation. Here's some receipts

          Thanks a lot!

Tried 10 different stores in Sydney, no one was able to price match receipts from QLD and some wouldn't even bother to look at the receipt. Tried 8 JBHi-Fi stores, 1 Hardly Normal and 1 Good Guys.

This is the first time I have seen a NSW receipt for $3400. Probably try to visit the same store?

          • @crazyboy: Ahh damn! Try another Good Guys store or try to call JB and price match over the phone.

          • @crazyboy: yup moore park store… i had one from them back in July for $3690 delivered. showed them qld branch receipt, they matched the price

        • Any receipts for the 65" GX?

    • +1

Just tried this, got told will need managers approval as it is cheaper than staff price. Sent through email with receipt for them to ask manager. Fingers crossed, thank you.

      • All the best!

        • +1

          Thanks for the receipt, champ!

        • They denied it. :(

          • +1

@zulnoth: Which store did you try? Keep trying with another store until they match it, I don't see why they couldn't maybe try show the receipts above. If no luck try JB. All the HN stores near me refused to match it lol. Just a tip, always ask to speak to the manager rather than the salesman, they're the ones who can give you a straight up yes or no

            • +1

@koalafied: One of the JBHiFi store is offering $3440 + $60 delivery.
Isn't there a free delivery deal going on at JB HiFi in collaboration with LG on 65 inch and higher TVs?

I remember seeing in it 1 JB HiFi store last week.

              • @crazyboy: I haven't seen that deal but I wish they offered it to me so I could save the $55 delivery fee :P

                • @koalafied: Thanks, due to this receipt in NSW, store agreed for $3440 + $59 delivery, making it $3499 delivered.

Very happy with the TV. Picture quality is mind blowing.

Only 1 problem is it doesn't support DTS audio. C8 and C9 support DTS but CX doesn't.

    • +1

Thanks a lot for posting! I spent the morning visiting a few JBs until one agreed to the price match.

  • This is not a bargain. People have been getting it for $3300-$3400.

    • Negotiated deals don't count.

      • LOL! Why not? Should we only look at the RRP and turn a blind eye to its market price?

        • +1

Because not every salesperson is going to be able to give you that price.

You can use negotiated prices as a guage for what is possible but it is not a bargain in the OzB way.

          • +1

@The Value: Return your Ozbargainer badge! That's not a reason to pay extra. Just walk out and shop around.

  • Lol I just matched into harvey demanding a refund as I just bought a new Tv Saturday… turns out i purchased the GX not the CX 😳

    Embarrassing!

    • Wow, what was the price of the GX? That's the model up from CX, they say it's best wall mounted seeing as how it's the gallery model but it still comes with the stand

      • +1

Paid 4300, u can get it with the jbhi code above for $4,178.55.

        It’s mounted looks fantastic

        • That's a good price! I would have tried to drop it to 3800 or walked out lol. My store had no stock otherwise I would have opted for that model

          • @koalafied: What's the difference between the GX and CX?

            • @he11bent: As far as I know the design is the only difference, with the GX you'll have the no gap wall mount so it sits flush against the wall like a canvas. After doing some research, it looks like the stand isn't included with the GX it needs to be purchased separately. Everything else is the same between the two.

              • @koalafied: Thank you.
Have my mind set on the 55 CX as our new TV for PS5/XboxX/PC gaming along with watching.

                • @he11bent: Excellent choice, it's definitely the best TV on the market for games and movies. Unbeatable picture.

                  • @koalafied: That's what I've been reading. It's just the burn in I'm worried about and from new news about the Refresh rate and all that. Need to read more on that issue before I go and buy it.

                    • @he11bent: Trust me, I was in the same boat but everyone seems to think it's a thing of the past since the release of the C9. All the retailers I've spoken to have also said they've never had any returns for burn in. If you watch for 4 hours or longer, once the TV is off the pixel refresher kicks in. More info on it here. Don't keep a movie paused for long periods, don't switch off the power from the wall otherwise the automatic refresher won't work.

                      • @koalafied: Cool. And what about this VRR issue I've just read about. Quick read said that it's a hardware issue and can't be resolved with a software update.

                        • @he11bent: Hmm I'm not too sure. "LG states that it will attempt to resolve VRR issues by 'establishing multiple Gamma curves' for lower frame rates."
If it can't be fixed via software update then I'm guessing they would need to come out and replace the T-CON board free of charge

                          • @koalafied: I wouldn't mind that to be honest as long as they fix it. Moving to our new home in a couple months, and we don't have a TV to move over, have to buy. CX is what won over Q80T or was it the Q90. Simply because the CX also has Gsync.

                            • @he11bent: Yep, my thoughts exactly. The only other TV on the market that can compete with the CX is the Q950T but it costs like $14K. The 65" picture looked shocking compared to the 85". Hopefully QD-OLED will shake up the market next year or two whenever it comes out xD

                              • +1

@koalafied: I've just a bit more on the VRR issue on Reddit. Turn down the brightness and it's not noticeable. Till they bring out a fix.
I'll stick with getting the 55 CX then. Hopefully Blackfriday brings some deals.

                    • @he11bent: Not sure about that model but I had the b7, it did have burn in, which I blamed sunrise for.
But lucky we purchased extended warranty so they credited the cost of the tv.

  • Not that im interested in this tv but the 11% code does it have unlimited use or once only

    • Just for today I believe.
