I have been wanting an unmanaged 16 port gigabit switch for my living room and have been watching the TP-Link TL-SG116. This particular model seems to be the cheapest brand-name 16-port gigabit switch and has a straightforward design. Only negative to me was the power plug is on the opposite side to the ethernet ports (rather than either being on the same or maybe on the other sides) which means if you plan to put it in your living room for example, assuming your cables are facing the wall, means the side with the power plug (but no activity lights) is what you will be facing.
After seeing it hover around the $78-$80 mark delivered, I Googled and was about to buy it from MSY for $74 but kept coincidentally I spotted a drop in price on Amazon down to $70.29 delivered by Harris Technology. Note that the link above may default to the Amazon AU listing which is $70.54 but as at the time of posting, there's only 4 left (there was 5 but I bought one). Either way, the previous lowest price on Amazon was around $76 so this is a good deal if you're looking for one of these.
Note that I think Harris Technology is one of the decent third parties on Amazon AU but I just prefer buying items shipped and sold by Amazon AU rather than third parties
I see you are a man of culture as well
