Lol at the negs. Maybe you should get the neg symbol printed out

        • This made me laugh even more! :D

      • +1

        That was classic!

  • +7

My picture is a naked female

    • +1

lol That'll give the printer something different from the norm

    • I think it will be ok as long as she's under 2 years and your kid. :)

Quit while your behind, my good sir.

  • yeah can't check out but hopefully it will work tomorrow, great find! :)

  • +1

I think their system never work before, I got a $5 canvas print last year, but can not checkout, call and email several times to solve out the problem, the whole process tooks more than 2 month, and still charge me some extra money for the print…

  • Thanks SnapFish !! Awesome Offer.

  • The sample photo block appears to have a transparent frame, but when ordering you have to choose between black or white, or is there a way you specify transparent? Can't really complaint when it's totally free!

Do you guys go for glossy or matte finish?

    • Lol pretty sure that's not a frame. Its the picture wrapping around on the sides on the block

    • Yeah same here, there doesn't seem to be a way to not have a frame costing $14.95. I guess that was the catch, it was too good to be totally free.

      • Lol … What frame?!

        • I guess I am confused too. I don't think there is a frame as such, the picture on the promotion page (the one linked) shows the picture wrapping around the block. Yet when you go to customise the order etc, it asks for a colour and the picture shown there also appears to not wrap around the block. If it wrapped around then it wouldn't make sense to ask for a colour?

      • The one that you are asked to pick the colour of when you actually order. Yes I got that far. Maybe it will get reduced to free when you checkout, but that page isn't displaying so I don't know yet. Maybe their systems are overloaded.

Edit: I give up. I'll look at my cart again tomorrow.

        • I could be wrong, but i don't think its an actual frame, its the colour of the wood the photo is on

        • No, it asks you when ordering whether you want a black or white pine frame. I too thought you would get a block with the photo wrapping around the edge, which is fine with me.

        • Finally worked this morning. No change in browser, the problem was their site. The $14.95 was misleading. Normally the product costs $14.95 for either colour of frame (the wood the photo is mounted on, wrapped around the edge), but it will reduce to free with free shipping at the checkout if you have the credit in your account.

      • I worked this one out - if you select pick up from a local store it charges you full price - the freebie only kicks in if you select POST which costs 5.95 - still cheap though. I am half of a professional photography studio and for a quality image on a quality block of this size we would start at $69 - these are plainly not as good a quality materials but if you have a quality (size and resolution) image to begin with, your result will be very nice for the price paid.

  • The expiry date when you look in Snapfish credits section is 15/01/2011! Interesting…

  • Yeah typo was meant to be 15/01/2012, just so used to typing 2011. Couldn't edit my comment on iPad and you commented so quickly before I could fix!!

    • 2 much time on hand:-)

  • +2

I just found I still have my credits from the collage mug that I signed up for last year. Nice.

  • what's a photo block?

    • +1

      Under new items: photoblock. Naturally.

    • +10

it's when someone blocks you from taking a photo with a hot chick

      • +1

Time for a new entry on urban dictionary :)

    • Generally a photo block, or block mount, (The trademark originals are ArtBloc or ArtMount) is a photographic print mounted (glued) on MDF, Pine board (which these are), or styrofoam board. Materials vary with each manufacturer. The MDF ones tend to lift after a time - the pine ones can deteriorate too but are cheap - the foam ones are generally offered by professional level manufacturers (Photo Mounts and Albums, Brilliant Prints, and Art Mounts, in QLD).

As soon as i click "check out" it takes me to a blank page..

  • mine says:

"Sorry. It seems that this offer has already been claimed. The conditions of this promotion are that only one offer per individual can be claimed."

then…nothign happens…but email received straight from snapfish with PROMO code. But dont know what to do from there on.

    • Check your account, maybe you have already claimed it and the credit is sitting there already?

      • yep..got it working.
Claimed it. Does go straight to ur account.
Just login and then use the redeem steps to add photo and check out to get it.

At check out, no need to type in any code, just check out, it should apply discount.

  • new account only?

    • Nope, works with existing accounts as well. You just need to login.

  • I had to use Internet Explorer, got it to work eventually.

Hopefully they don't recognize Peter Dinklage as Tyrion Lannister and give me any copyright grief :)

  • Great thanks op

    • +1

      Grapes? lol Mangoes here.

Sent a great fishing pic through to my dad.

  • it worked for me .. thanks

  • I can only claim my first 30 free prints, cant find the option for the block. what's going wrong?

    • +1

you need to go to http://www4.snapfish.com.au/snapfishau/store/ and choose photo block on the new products section.

    • If you have the credit in your account, just add the photoblock you want to your cart with no other items, and at the last step there will be no charge.

  • +1

    awesome!!!
These guys are great with their giveaways.

  • +1

just wondering if its portrait of someone would I have to rotate the picture?

    • +1

maybe you could just turn the picture?

    • Just turn it then upload it. The little stand that the block comes with can be screwed on so it will sit in either orientation.

  • +1

Fantastic. Thanks so much for posting OP! Loving Snapfish at the moment… good stuff. I might actually be able to give some good xmas pressies this year!

  • very nice

  • It works now and Thank You shadowshriek and Snapfish!

  • The block looks very nice indeed! thanks OP

  • Great! looks decent so i couldnt complain as its free

  • Stupid me, but I can't work out how to start making the photo block. Any help please?

  • Ended up getting a Barney motivational poster lol

  • Any tips on using the website?

I tried last night and again today (FF and IE). Still can't even create an account. I just get redirected to an error page. :/

EDIT: 674th time lucky! Just magically worked.

  • Any limits on how many that can be ordered in one household?

    • Terms and Conditions

      1. Limit of one 10.2x15.2 cms Photo Block per household.
  • I had to pay $1.95 for postage but I'm not complaining.

    • Lol, y? did you order something else with it?

    • Terms and Conditions

Limit of one 10.2x15.2 cms Photo Block per household.
      Free postage and handling included.

      Must have ordered something else

      • Yes, I received a photo print in the mail. It cost me $1.95 and I'm not happy. It has been incredibly hard to score this "freebie"

        • You fail at adding items into your cart.

  • Thanks! Anyone have any idea exactly what size the picture should be?

    • 10.2 x 15.2 cm as stated above, or 4" x 6" in ancient units. Essentially a typical print mounted on a block.

      • My bad, I meant in pixels..but I guess it can be worked out from the cms. Thanks!

        • There isn't a particular pixel size that it requires. Just like the photo kiosk machines, it will adapt to a range of resolutions. There may be a max res it will accept. Of course if you send in too low-res photo the picture is less sharp and if you send in too hi-res it will take you ages to upload and may overflow your storage quota.

However it should be 3:2 aspect ratio. I'm not sure what happens if it differs a lot from that. I suspect you get to crop your image using the web interface. Or maybe you get black bands. Anybody knows?

        • Yeah that's what I was referring to in my original image - last time I ordered photos from snapfish I got white bands on my image =S

  • I can't get it to work. I get to the billing info page and it still says $20.90. I even logged into paypal and it still had full price.

    • Have you activated your pin code from registering through the kidspot link above?

When you login to snapfish.com.au, near the top it should say

      Your credits
1 Free Photo Block 10.2x15.2 cms Order now

and then you go to http://www4.snapfish.com.au/snapfishau/revieworderstore/prd=…

Then 'Deliver my item by post'

      Fill out billing/address details

Then on Review and place order page, it should be $0.00

      • I did register from the kidspot link, but it doesn't say I have any credits. I tried the link again and it says my address has already been used.

        • Maybe email them. You should have been taken to a page with a code. Then you copy the code and activate it.

        • I got taken to that page and when I entered the code it said the credits were already registered to my account, so I figured it worked.

        • +3

Same here - I got the code, (X5H…) but when I enter the code it says:
"Oops, these credits have been applied"
but nothing in the credits… that sucks.

          Edit: Have sent an email.

        • Same issue. I had an existing account; got a code sent by email, tried to enter it and it said it was already used.

I've sent an email to support to see if I can still get it. I was trying to get a nice print of my girlfriend and her sister on her birthday as a surprise.

  • Doesn't work for me. I got this instead:
    Your credits:
    30 credits for 15x10 cm print(s)

  • it is not working for me? there isn't any shown credits on my screen and there is a checkout of $20.. i have followed all the steps

  • +2

won't work - after I register using the link then put my unique pin# in it says

Oops, these credits have been applied
If you have already entered your activation code on a prior visit, there's no need to do so again. Your free product credit has already been credited to your account.

yet then I go to my account and it says I have no credits.

    • +2

Same for me, entered pin, "oops" - nothing in account. I emailed them.

      • Have also emailed them… perhaps they've 'ran out'??

        • I emailed them yesterday bout this issue, and they've fixed it for me manually. Awesome service!

  • +1

"Oops, these credits have been applied

"Oops, these credits have been applied
If you have already entered your activation code on a prior visit, there's no need to do so again. Your free product credit has already been credited to your account."

    its a FAIL.

    • I had the same problem. I sent an email to support last night, and had a PhotoBlock credit applied to my account, and a free shipping voucher code supplied.

Clearly the website has some issues - however at least the customer support is working.

      • Yep I did the same - contacted them last night, got an e-mail response this morning.

  • not working at all……..poor

  • I have tried with my existing account and it worked well. My friend is just a new member and he doesn't get credit but at least he has free 30 photo to print out.
