I've learnt that bigger is not always better when it comes to xmas trees.. i've also learnt to put the tree in a corner so you only need to decorate half of it.

    4th of November….. Mmmmm…… 60 day return policy?

Almost two decades ago I saw a Christmas tree with optical fibre tips illuminated from a light at the base of a tree. The cool part was a multi-coloured rotating disc between the light source and fibre. As the disc rotated the colours would move across the tree in a very analogue pleasing & relaxing manner.

Haven't been able to find one since.

I think technology has moved on since then.

This is what you want…… Addressable app controlled lights…….

      • Omg, I hate you. Now I'm actually considering spending 5 hundred on that…

      • Very pretty, but not what I'm looking for. With the rotating disc, the colour of the fibres would change from one colour to another. Part of the effect was caused by multiple fibres running along each branch and being melted together at the end.

        • Got exactly one of these a few years ago from Kmart for $79.

Mum has it now…very nice tree!

        • You can still get fibre optic trees you're talking about. Big w have them, I'm sure other places do too. They now use multicolour LEDs to elluminate the fibre optic strands, but give the same effect.

The multi coloured rotating disc was used to change the colour of the strands from a single white incandescent globe (before the days of LEDs).

Bought this tree last year. Compared to previous years, was a breeze to put up and no light hanging was a god send. In fact, we didn’t even take it down all year.

Anyone know how "thick" these trees are? I bought a $20 tree from Kmart last year and it was so skinny that my friends keeps telling me that it needs feeding :(

Does the tree include Bauble in the pictures?

    • You need to compare the amount of tips per tree, as per the add the tree has 1200 pine tips.

      • I was after the $39.95 tree. Paying $100 for a tree is way too expensive

    • No bauble.

Another thing that I like about the tree, our old one when you put it up the branches used to scratch the hell out of your arm (think it was a Kmart tree), but not on the Aldi tree

      • thanks, what a pity. Bauble cost an extra $25 :(

    • I can confirm there’s no baubles on this one 🎄

He will need a cat C license for the 1200

It's already on the news now so be prepared to get into a brawl with a granny for the tree.
