    • EDITED: Removed suggestion of an alternative NSW-based store with similar a pricepoint. Cellpoint seems fine after reading their reply below, i.e. 2 business days from WA to NSW.

    • Hi,

We use Australia Post Express and the normal delviery time frame is 2 business days from WA. Please email us your order number or send us a private message after placing your order and we will update you with your tracking number today itself.

      Thanks,

This one is a good deal. But I think Coles Mobile got a better deal .
    365days/60GB / unlimited national / unlimited international to 15 countries for $120
    and
    365days/120GB / unlimited national / unlimited international to 15 countries for $150
They are with Optus 4G plus network.

    • +1

And the $120 plan is $99 from tomorrow, so even better value

  • Correct me if I'm wrong but for people who are already on the $150 prepaid plan, buying this will lose their option of being able to recharge for $150 85gb.

    • +1

If they buy this (as an existing Boost customer), they have to port out -> port in to access this deal, so yes they'll lose the "Anytime Plus" recharge ($150/80Gb)

      • +1

There are many deals now better than Boost these days like Coles but because my area has bad coverage on Optus I can't. Telstra network is more reliable, all rounder.

  • +4

Looks like they've recently changed it so that it's now 30GB plus 70GB bonus data. If they stop offering the bonus 70GB of data, it's going to be very poor value in providing only 30GB over 12 months for a $200 recharge.

  • Just a FYI, i bought the optus 365 days sim for $150 with 100GB.

    • Yes but Optus is a rubbish network at least in my area

  • Sorry nob question. I only have post paid connections. So after 365 days of this plan, sim will be deactivated?

    • +1

Yes, unless you recharge or Port out

    • +1

      Hi,

The Sim will be not be deactivated after 365 days. Boost Mobile will send you reminders to recharge your service on or before the expiry and there should be enough communication sent to you to be able to recharge your service should you want to stay with Boost Mobile.

      Thanks
      Team @ Cellpoint

      • If recharge after 365 days, will the unused data rollover to the next 365 day period?

        • Data will not rollover, either you recharge before expiry or after expiry.

  • How quickly has anyone been able to port out and port back in.

    • It's best to do this over 2 days, maybe 3 to be safe. Port out and port in on the same day will confuse the porting teams and result in a reject for the port back. Porting teams don't think like OZBers trying to take advantage of deals and treat that as an error.

  • How long will it take deliver to Sydney

      • Thank you

    • Hi. Thank you for your order. Your order has been packed and ready for dispatch. You should receive your order by October 30, 2020 via Australia Express Post to Sydney.

    @cellpoint, I have two questions: -

1 - Can I move to Boost from Telstra prepaid?
2 - Can I activate this sim in Jan 2021 when my Telstra prepaid expires?

    • +1

      Hi. Thanks for your inquiry.

      1. Yes you can move your existing number from Telstra Prepaid to Boost Mobile.
      2. Yes you can. The current sims we are shipping has an expiry till Sep 2021 so there's plenty of time to activate.

      Thanks

        Hi Cellpoint,

In regards to your point 2 above, however it states on the deal link “70GB bonus data on $200: Customers who activate a $200 SIM by 23 November 2020. ( Total: 100GB).

Can you confirm the expiry is Sep 2021 or 23 Nov 2020?

If anyone knows this, would appreciate your help too!

If the current $150 Boost plan is expiring in Dec, will I be able to renew with $150 plan then? I can currently see $150 (12 months) option when I go to renew but will it remain in Dec too? I am happy with 80GB data.

If I can renew with $150 plan directly then there won't be a need of porting out of Boost and porting back in. Can someone please confirm? Thanks.

    • That’s what I want to know too. For 20gb difference I’m thinking of recharging as well. I’ve got 36gb left which will go to waste.

  • I tried to port my number from belong to boost 5 days ago, but still nothing happened.
Checked the forum on belong's website, many people complained about their terrible porting experience.

    • I was able to port from Aldi in just 2days.

  • I have never moved from Telstra, am on post paid (no contract).

If I want this then what do I do? Buy it and plug the sim in or something else. I have never done it before and don’t want to stuff it up.

  • Hi OP,
just bought the SIM and have no idea how to get this on my existing number with iprimes(postpaid). Could you please enlighten me Thanks

Noob question if anyone can help, if I wish to change providers before the 12 months ends but still keeping my same number, is this possible?

    • +1

Yes definitely possible. Just change providers anytime after recharging. You will lose all the remaining benefits though.

      • Ok thanks. I am just thinking if I somehow finished using up all the data before the 12 months end and want to switch over to another provider who has another promo going on

        • Ok cool. Makes sense.
If you think you can finish all data, buy one plan higher or you can check their add-ons (I believe they are expensive).

  • Wifey was just at a cellpoint store (WA) and was told this offer is also valid in store. Wifey is currently on Telstra postpaid but Cellpoint says that they can help her to port to Boost but first have to be ported to an Optus prepaid $10 and then port immediately to Boost.

  • Is data100gb per month?

  • My wife has completed the port from Telstra post-paid to optus and then to Boost.

All seem ok. One thing that I noticed is that the data is shown as 30GB data + 70GB bonus roll over data. It is not 85GB + 15GB as the package is saying?

I just ported from Telstra postpaid to Boost prepaid-here's how to do it.

Get Boost Sim (Cellpoint sent me mine express post in 2 days to NSW)
go to https://boost.com.au/get-help/ and select "message us" chat window.
Its a robot but type "ask to speak to someone"
It then connected me to Call centre person who was excellent.
I answered some ID questions and provided account info.
    Received confirmation code via text.
Was asked to wait 20 min.
20 min later received email from Telstra saying acct disconnected. And from Boost saying connected to a new number.
Inserted new sim which connected to Telstra network and 5 min later it was all done and my old number ported.
    45 min in total.

Don't bother requesting blank sim or sending txt messages like they direct you to do when you ring.

    Very Happy.

Instead of typing "ask to speak to someone" a single full stop does the same trick :)

    This deal is 30G + 70G , not 85G + 15G.
SIM card must be activated before 23th November.
    Otherwise you lose 70G bonus.
I still have not received their tracking number.

  • How does this compare to cheaper deals from Catch Mobile for instance (serious Q) - it is $120 for 120GB, 12 month expiry

  • -2

Just a word of warning for those looking to take advantage of this and similar Boost deals.

To date I have been trying for 10 days to port my number across from Optus to Boost pre-paid. Long story and three very long chats later I am informed that the information on the website on how easy it is to transfer your number is wrong. It would appear that Optus customers also need a blank sim to bring your own number. Cue another delay whilst the blank sim is posted to me. Then back onto chat to activate it.

To say I am less than impressed thus far would be an under-statement. Am also trying to find out why the process described above by markg cannot be followed in my case. This is exactly what I am trying to do, only the port is from Optus postpaid rather than Telstra.
