Dubious based on the polarizing reviews for these. I think I'll be better spending approx $100-200 more and picking a more reputable "mattress-in-a-box" company provider.
I don't mind an Aldi Special Buy if it's easy to return, but these things are unwieldly once unboxed.

    • This one appears to have inner springs. At least thats what the ad says. Do the other mattress in a box offerings (Koala, Sleeping Duck) have springs? I read they were just foam and sagged after a couple of years.

  • We need to buy a mattress/frame for my son. I think Fantastic furniture's mattress was @ the same price. Plus they had a frame.

I bought the Fantastic Furniture 'double' mattress. Not very satisfied with that one… so looking for an alternative

These are absolute rubbish. The lot of them. Mistress in a box is just clever marketing of a not fit for purpose product. Any real matress from a mattress shop is better. Trust me I've tried a few.

      Sure you have ;)

      Mistress in a box

Where can I acquire one of these? Happy to pay retail.

      Asking for a friend.

      • no returns tho

      • Will there be issues if I order more than one?

We’ve tried a few MIAB as well, no avail on any. Always too hard and hot. We’ll be going for a traditional pocket spring mattress once shops open back up.

      • Ooh, I usually have issues with mattresses being too soft. I nearly bought one that was just wooden beads with foam over the top… could be for me

Respectfully disagree. We've had a Sleeping Duck for a year and love it. Not cheap though, but like most things, you get what you pay for.

Literally the opposite point that all the mattress in a box companies are trying to make.

        • Again, disagree. In my opinion, the mattress-in-a-box (MiaB) companies are often cheaper than a traditional mattress store-bought like-for-like mattress. A Sealy Posturepedic is > $4k retail. But there's other benefits to a MiaB, too, such as ability to return the mattress after a decent period of time of actually using it.

I don't think all MiaB companies are the same, nor going for the same market. My point regarding "cheap" was Sleeping Duck aren't playing in the cheaper part of town for MiaB, but by paying more, I think you're getting a better product that's still less than a traditionally bought mattress.

      • but sleeping duck is like 4x the price

        • Absolutely. And by going by the reviews, there's a good chance the Sleeping Duck one is worth it.

      • Had a Sleeping Duck for a few years now. Worth it. Was pricier than most other Mattress-in-a-box companies but still cheaper than a retail store and has been fantastic.

Dirty Google spell check. Yep, not even fit for a mistress.

  • as long as it looks like the picture then I wouldn't mind trying these mistresses..

    queen size $199 at ikea

best mattress ive ever had - the more expensive ikea ones too soft for me - can try in store

  • That King Bed Frame is rubbish, I suggest you avoid. I resorted to printing 3d parts to stop the slats from popping out.

Aldi special buys are become pretty poor.

    • I agree, they need to reinvigorate them, seems the last 12 months just recycle the same old crap from one month to the next. Nothing new or exciting any more.

its not that i feel. the electrical products are mere rubbish! the $99 vacuum has no power and brush head is tiny. $29 kmart kids vacuum does the same job lol. their electrical products are gimmicks at best

here in vic the hype is real. people including me are waiting in line 1hr before the store opens just to see minimal stock.

its because were in a 4month lockdown with no retail. aldi is the only shop you can go to blow your money on random crap and everyone is doing it,

wait till restrictions ease and people spend money elsewhere,

Have the Aldi king size mattress - might be okay for a spare bed, but we are looking at getting rid of it after owning it for probably only 18 months.

No particular faults but I'm sure my back doesn't like it. I would suggest paying a little bit more.

    better off going with zzzAtelier

I'm surprised with the negative comments on these Aldi matresses. I've had a single size for more than a year now and sleep on it everyday. Seems fine to me.

Maybe the bigger sizes have more pronounced flaws?

  • Do note that none of the mattress will be available for NSW and ACT.

  • When to Aldis to buy the DC fan today .. stock hadnt even arrived

  • +1

    Is Aldi Mattress any good?

  • The frame and the mattress are both rubbish. If you get value past a year of them I’d be surprised. We got both and were pretty happy at first but they really don’t last.

  • +1

Good for children or light weight adults.

  • Stock at my store sold out the instant that it opened

  • This or zzzAtelier?
