There's no CFW for PS4, I assume you mean you have a 6.72 or less firmware?
I don't think it'll be long until the game is 1/2 this price, and for me although it looks pretty, it is only part 1 (it's not a remake of the whole game), so up to you.
Edit: personally I have a 5.05 OG and a PS4 Pro I use for purchased games
I busted out my fortnite ps4 pro from the last black Friday deal to find out the firmware was below 6.72. Was super stoked about this. Coupled with the gaems vanguard this is coming with me everywhere without discs. Although I've struggled to dump a few discs from my collection .
How do you find the success rate in general? I held off updating because I read initially it took a fair few attempts at booting HEN?
@[Deactivated]: Updating from.6.71 was a breeze. Success rate has gone up for booting up hen and loading other bootloaders since I used the esp 8266 to host the server, still not 100%
Keep the PS4 CFW and get PS5 to play the newer games!

Yeah, probably a good call there. I mean it came out on pre-order for $68 I think and if you didn't get it then and have waited this long….you're in for the long haul. Half joking here but you know there will be like a 3 disk edition one day with all the parts of the game. Can you hold out that long?

I've never played a FF game. How does this one compare to other ones?
It's not a typical FF game but it's incredible. It's pretty fast-paced and has a really gripping story. Totally worth playing especially if you're keen on exploring a new fantasy/cyberpunk world. Note that this is not a remake of the entire original game but only the beginning of the original game set in the city of Midgar.
Together with RDR2 ($38) it comes up to $81.30 which makes the FF7 Remake cost $43.30
That's because RDR2 is actually $32.30 by itself. FF is still $49.
