Hey folks this is a US import and is the cheapest price its been on Amazon. The AcuRite 01536M is now $147.76 and its usually $184.71.

I can't find much info on this model being sold in Australia. It has PC connect but its via a USB cable to a PC, so it might not be good for every one. Ecowitt have some models coming up in the prime sale but they are yet to release the prices.

  I have had this brand weather station set up with a Smarthub to access the data online and also upload to wunderground. Everything was running well until they decided to discontinue the Smarthub and asked customers to uprade to their "new" Acurite Access hub with the same features.
  Nothing but a money-grab. Never again Acurite. Buyer beware. Who knows, they might pull that stunt again.

    Potential a noob question, but does a pi only do one thing it's programmed to do, or can it do multiple things at the same time?

      Multiple things at the same time, the only limit you might come up against is if you need to you need too many "hats" or not enough GPIO pins on the one. They're powerful enough to do lots of things all at once.
