I have a nas with two 8tb WD Red drives.
Does mixing the brands really matter?
If I added a 10TB WD Red, does only 8TB get used, due to the other two 8tb drives?

New to this and have these questions after trying to research adding another drive.

  Yes, you'll lose the extra space and the drive will basically been seen as an 8TB
