Got it.. Don't need it. Thanks 😊

    • Yep

  • is this rev e? its 3200

    • +1

Pretty sure their entire line-up is Rev E at this point, but the value buys are the 3000 CL15, the 3200 CL16 and the 3600 CL16, and they're all Rev E.

  • +3

    Also 32gb C16 kit for $140 if you need 2 sticks https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B083TSLDF2

    • Cheers, adding that in.

    • +2

Damn that's cheap, just a little over a month or two ago, these were $260+!!

EDIT: Nevermind, thought this was 3600C16… would pay to read closer…

    • Just grabbed one of the 32GB kits… thanks

    • Already seems to be sold out at that price.

  • +2

This guy knows a deal when he sees one, love the work

  • Any issues if I were to use 2x8GB 3600 CL16 Ballistix and these together? 4 slots, 32GB total.

    • You'd need to match timings, but they should be ok at 3600 CL16 or CL14?

Order, double check online, then cancel if you have to.

      • Yep cheers. Order first, think later.

    • So long as you can bring the 3200C16 up to 3600C16 (matching timings across all sticks), you'll be fine. These are Rev E die, and these things overclock easily, so 3600 at stock timings shouldn't be difficult at all.

    • Is that a confirmed price error? Regardless, this is the US store for a Prime Day deal.

    • Not a price error. Already been shipped out

    • I think that was just a stock error, I haven’t had mine cancelled.

  • Great Deal

  • Insanely good value.

  • Anyone know of a CL19 DRR4 SODIMM 8gb option that's cheap?

  • +1

I missed the deal from earlier today, so I thank you a lot. <3

    • +1

that was 3600 C16 though. but this is good too, some comments mention that its easy to bump upto (overclock) 3600

  • Ok for a Ryzen 3600 build? The 32gb one?

    • great

      • thanks

  • i already have 16gb of ram. i guess i'm upgrading to 32gb… not that i need it.

  • Ahh I bought the other one, do I need 3600 though? Is it just going to be higher binned?

    • The 3600 will overclock further, which is elite for Zen 2 (loves 3800 with 1900 MHz infinity fabric clock) and likely Zen 3, where the IF clock will be higher again.

      • If we don't plan to overclock, would the 3600 still be noticeably better?

  • +1

Finally, been looking for a RAM deal for ages and this is amazing. Thanks OP!

  • $60 cheaper than this from a few days ago

Looks like it pays to wait

  • +1

Has anyone seen anything similar in SODIMM? Need to upgrade my budget laptop to deal with all the WFH. I believe it will only utilise up to 2400Mhz and looking for 2x 8GB DDR4.

Saw this 1x 16Gb but thought 2x 8Gb would be better? If I'm just as well off or almost the same with this 1x 16Gb, can someone tell me?

    Thanks!

  • pls pls pls RGB 3600 next

  • +3

buy first, think later…. wait, do i really need this?

  • Should I wait for a potentially better deal during Black Friday?

    • +2

Not really, the only thing I'd be waiting for is another 3600 CL16 deal. RAM is generally dropping though, so you will see more deals in November and December, though perhaps mostly through Amazon.

      • +1

The previous 3600 deal sold out hella quick

        • +1

Right, but we have Black Friday and 11.11 sales in like a month. Christmas/Boxing Day another 6 weeks after that.

  • Does anyone know how warranty would work for this seeing that it's being shipped from the US?

    Cheers

  • +1

$5 less than the 3600 deal from this morning… This almost feels too expensive!

  • I've got a pretty old Gigabyte H110M. Anyone know if it's supported? Or how to check if it's supported?

  • man ram is CHEAP nowadays, when i built my current pc i paid more than double this for half the ram at half the speed (ddr3 ofc)

  • +1

Dumb question but is it better to have 4 x 8gb sticks or 2 x 16gb? Any advantages of one over the other?

    • +1

2x16gb will allow for the boards that only have 2 slots, and also gives you better future compatibility.

As for the 4 sticks, I can't say sorry.

    • +1

All 8gb sticks are single rank and most 16gb are dual rank (16 chips per stick).

Dual rank performs better than single rank for equal frequency and timing but it is harder to get them to reach high speeds because of extra load on the memory controller, so they usually cost a bit more.

They're similar as both single rank in quad channel (8gb x4) and dual rank in dual channel (16gb x2) result in 4 ranks in total which is an improvement over 2 ranks.

If you are trying to overclock to 3800 c14 you might want 4x8gb. This caps you at 32gb with no room for expansion.

A minor benefit is aesthetics if you're into that. I think 4 sticks looks much nicer.

    • +1

Generally no, just go for 2 sticks. If you're into memory overclocking then it depends on your motherboard's RAM topology whether you can comfortably use 2 or 4 sticks. This is a bit simplified, but if it's daisy chain then two of the slots will have shorter traces than the other two, and generally you can get better overclock results using just those two primary slots. This is one reason why the manual will specify which slots to use if you're only using 2 sticks. If it's T-topology then all slots will have traces the same length and those boards will generally be better for overclocking with all 4 slots populated compared to a daisy chain board with all 4 populated. You'd have to research your particular board, but in general you'd want to go with 2 larger sticks in any case - the T topo boards are just better if you plan on filling all the slots because all slots are equal unlike a daisy chain board.

It's more for getting the best overclock possible that it matters, just running XMP should be fine with any configuration.

  • Will these work with Intel? say i5 10400 on H470?

  • +2

So depressing seeing these great prices knowing that you can't make use of them.

  • Not going to be upgrading my PC till next year would there be any point stock piling these now?

  • 32GB no longer available at that price.

    • It was for the black only so it's probably OOS.

  • Does 3200 vs 3600 make a big difference on Ryzen 5 3600 + B450?

    • IF your using a RTX 3080 or RTX2080ti… or New AMD biggy to come out..

      otherwise NO!

    • Not much difference. You are paying almost double the price for 3600 in this deal for maybe a few fps. It's a no brainer to get the 3200 unless you have deep pockets.

    • +1

These will overclock to 3600 CL16 easily. Research the Ryzen DRAM calculator.

  • +2

I said this in another thread but I've got the 2 X 8gb 3200mhz cl16 kit oc'd to 3733mhz cl16 with no dramas at all. I have an MSI b450m titanium and a ryzen 3600. Amazing ram chips!

  • Got two sets!

  • Finally was hoping they came down to this price. So good. Got me a set.

  • cheers got 2 kits

  • Bought 2 kits, I was really after 3600mhz but I will overclock the difference and tighten the timing using DRAM calculator. The marginal gains are there but at this price might as will jump in. I bet tomorrow a deal will be posted with 3600MHZ for even cheaper, the ozbargain dilema!

    • +1

yea i wanted 3600mhz also, i acutally put an order through when the 2x16GB set was 223$ the other day but cancelled it for this.

1-5% difference won't make a huge difference in my life if my cpu and gpu will be high end tbh especially when i'm saving $$ cant complain.

  • Bought it. Hopefully it's good enough for a small home server.

  • do they charge you when it ships?

    • +1

Late on this, sorry: they charge once they're able to allocate stock. If the item is on backorder, they won't charge you until stock hits their warehouse.

  • Wish this would go OOS so I don't feel bad paying $90 for LPX when this is cheaper and seems to better to overclock

  • +1

    Thank you!!

  • Would these make a difference in gaming over 2400mhz 16gb cl16

  • +1

    still waiting for the shipment?

    • +1

Prime Day is an enormous amount of orders, and this deal ran for around 24 hours. There would have been thousands, if not tens of thousands of orders for this.

Give their warehousing teams time to process this.

    • Mine hasn't shipped yet, just want to ask is this ship from au or us?

      • Us.

  • I'm wondering if this ram will be suffice for amd 5000 cpu series? Any thoughts on this, considering deleting my order and waiting black friday.

    • Optimal for Zen 3 will be 4000 MHz, so I would target the 3600 CL16 version which will overclock nicely.

Expect an Amazon sale on those next month.

  • Can confirm it is shipped from US by UPS, not sure how long it come to here, first time from amazon US.

    • When did yours ship and was it the 16 or 32gb kit? Still haven't heard anything about the 32gb kit I ordered

      • +1

        16gb, shipped Wednesday US time

  • Still not shipped 16gb

    • Are you reporting back or complaining?

Either way, this was likely a record sales period, and this was a high-demand item with huge volumes sold. Order fulfillment will likely take more time than you've seen previously.

      • But if you buy it now it will arrive quicker than when I ordered it two weeks ago. Anyway, spoke to support on the phone. Said that it will be shipped in the next 48 hours.

        • Your order is shipping from the USA, the page is currently listing Scorptec, so yes that will be faster.

    • Same here.

  • Shipped. 20th of Nov eta

    • Mine one shipped with UPS, there is a delay on freight, no eta, it is taking so long.

    • Mine shipped yesterday with fastway with a November 18 eta. Though my last international Amazon order arrived 9 days early so fingers crossed for early delivery!

  • +2

Got them today. Look's like it's not brand new. The seal was open.

    • +1

Oh no, thats bad. What you gonna do with it?

      • +1

Ram seems to be working fine so don't know if it's worth complaining.

        Image of seal

Ram info. It was Micron E die if anyone is interested.

        • +1

Finally got mine today. Not happy with how it was packaged. Both ram boxes were placed inside a thin satchel, compared to other deliveries that arrived from USA inside a well packaged box.

@MagicMushroom one of my box looks like yours, I don't think its used, it looks like it just opened up during transit due to poor packaging….

        • When did they get shipped out for you guys?

        • I got mine today - looks a lot like yours. Thin bubble envelope packaging, crucial cardboard box looks beat up and the seal is broken. I dont think it was opened, just something that happened in transit. I'm hoping the internal plastic case was strong enough to absorb whatever happened. Actual Ram sticks look fine, I'm going to install it tomorrow see if it works or not.

  • still waiting for the shipment. Jesus.
