Getting these as a mid point option for kids toys and low use things where I need to park some batteries without tying up too much value in Eneloops
These actually beat Eneloop Pro in this review, but Amazon reviews appear to be mixed…

the one in the review seems different from this deal?
i have this and i can tell pro is better in term of quality and last longer(more recharge cycle) but for this price this is better.
I bought these and they don't hold charge!
They're just depleting when in any device such as remote despite not using the device they're in.
Even the aldi rechargeables are better for $5.99
thanks, your review is consistent with some of Amazon ones. I will cancel mine
Same issue, from 3 different packs. They deplete to the point of being dead from being fully charged and sitting in the charger and like 24 hours. Horrible batteries.
My rechargeable Varta's are almost 10 years old and hold a charge better.
I noticed this too! Depleat to the point they can't be charged. Luckily for me I have a charger which can bring batteries back to life. Nitecore sc4
These batteries should be recalled.
I bought them from Bunnings and have no receipt, no packing and so never bothered but totally ripped off.
I just buy Aldi rechargables now.
Similar experience here, I got burned by Energizer NiMH's many years ago, without doubt they were not-fit-for-purpose, but I would have liked to think they aren't selling the same junk anymore shrugs. When I eventually dared to buy NiMH's again, I went with the Aldi ones, mistakenly actually because I got mixed up between Aldi and IKEA who sell rebranded Eneloops. The Aldi ones have been fine though, and IKEA have jacked their prices since then so my guess is there's now probably a very good case for buying Aldi NiMH's for low-ish power devices where value for money trumps absolute capacity and recharge cycle life.
Today is a batteries day, ordered a lot of batteries
Do not cheat on your Eneloops with these.
Wouldn't waste money on these, last time I bought them the whole set went dead after about a year. Meanwhile the eneloop bought from the good old Dick Smith day worked straight out the packaging after 3+ year in storage.
How much did you get the eneloops for on the Dick Smith day?
They were $20 for an 8 pack. How I miss Rocksmith.
couldnt remember but the tropical one was around $20 for 8 I think, there were a couple of the chocolate package on sale just before they went into administration for around $10 I think. Of around 30-40 eneloop, only about 3 died after 5+ years.
thanks for saving me fellas, just cancelled my order… will grab some aldi ones next time I'm there.
Whats the best charger to use with these or even eneloops?
I recently bought the XTAR VC4 which is probably overkill for these kinds of batteries, but fun information to know about battery charging. The Nitecore D4 is also another charger I was looking at. Both of these support normal but also fast charge (1A current) for AA.
The reason I ended up going a little bit more with the charger was that I too had an Energizer one, the one that comes with these batteries as a package, and it was horrible. I ended up paying a little more for a charger rather than buying a cheap one twice.

Any AAA?
