Who gives Samsung the guts to sell the model with sd 730 chips so expensive. Dung waste your money on mid range model esp Samsung.

    • what's a cheaper alternative with similar specs?

      • -4

        Oppo I recommend

      • +4

Poco X3 about $200 cheaper with better processor.

      • +2

a few actually, do some research

Gets the job done and the screen is massive and deep blacks are nice.

      • -8

Once you loading app for ages then u will have more than enough time to enjoy its screen with black depth

Bought 2 of these for $649 from jb hi fi recently. I switched from an oppo r15pro which after an update would not work with my wireless headphones and my wife came from a galaxy s8.
          We are both very happy.

        • Big battery helps with that.

    • People only complain about Apple prices but at least they hold resale value.

      • Thats coz you have too many suckers !!!

Who buys second hand (Apple) mobiles with tiny batteries, that Apple will throttle to save those tiny batteries

    • agree. The audacity of samsung lol. Even the flagships, why tf they are near iPhone's price because Apple creates their own Operating System and CPU etc and samsung just "outsource".

*disclosure: I use Samsung Galaxy phones

  • Do these have Dex?
Update: it looks like they do not.

Supported phones for Dex (from Samsung):
    Galaxy Note10, Galaxy Note10 5G, Galaxy Note10+, Galaxy Note10+ 5G, Galaxy S20, Galaxy S20+, Galaxy S20 Ultra 5G, Galaxy Note20/Note 20 Ultra/Note20 5G/Note20 Ultra 5G, Galaxy Z Fold2
The following devices are supported through a software update
    - Galaxy S9, Galaxy S9+, Galaxy Note9, Galaxy S10, Galaxy S10 5G, Galaxy S10+, Galaxy S10e, Galaxy Fold, Galaxy A90 5G

You can add the SG8/8 Plus/Note8 to the list too.

  • What's better? This A71, the pixel 4a, or xiaomi redmi pro 9? They're all similarly priced.

    • +1

similarly priced? redmi pro 9 is almost half the price of the A71.

      • +1

Oh you're right. On my initial check it was 499, which is only slightly cheaper than this deal but now I can see it can be had for under 400 at some places.

  • extra $200 for the Super Amoled screen compared to better phones

  • Band 28?

  • These are sold by a Hong Kong based seller and not by Kogan. Kogan is merely a market place.

However, the seller's description page says "Australian Consumer Guarantee" applies. How does this work? Do we hassle Kogan for the Consumer Guarantee ?

    .

    • same as amazon or ebay would redirect you to the seller

  • Why doesnt the samsung pay work?

    • Maybe not AU stock as in a grey import?

      • Interesting as samsung pay is better then google pay

        • If you want Samsung Pay to work you best get an AU model.

          • @ozhunter68: I never knew that, that a huge downgrade getting a grey import, unless you dont pay with your phone like with an actual wallet or something

            • @asa79: I never had problem with samsung pay on imported Samsung phones. If you do, you can always use Google pay

              • @MINKx: That is good to know, but I wouldnt use Google Pay, I like using Samsung Pay for the below reason
Samsung Pay Uses both MST (Magnetic Secure Transmission) and NFC (Near-field communication) technology, making it widely accepted.
You can use Google Pay only on terminals that accept contactless payments over NFC.
