It does more than just Qi-charging… e.g. doesn't charge while in use and only when battery is low. and whole pad acts as the charger…
But agree that it's pretty expensive.
What I'm saying is that Corsair have a Qi-compatible setup that can actually charge your phone, which this doesn't. Others will follow in time, and then you won't be tied to proprietary bullshit to pair with your wireless mouse.
I'm not recommending Corsair mice, however.
This charges the mouse constantly and provides a connection stronger than a wired mouse. It doesn't and is not meant to charge like a Qi charger.

How?
@magic8ballgag: science

That doesn't charge Logitech mice though, which this does.
Apples/oranges.
it syncs to the mouse as well via their low latency 2.4ghz lightspeed rf connection, which some people like
Physics tells me they're a bit foolish for promoting that as a clear positive of the pad.

@wbettison: This mousepad is only a charger, the connection of the mouse is using Logitech's Lightspeed 2.4ghz wireless…
@meong: You only need to have the mousepad attached as it will supply both the power for charging and the lightspeed connection.
@ItchyItch: So basically the little box on the corner of the mat itself is a wireless receiver. The mousepad itself does not improve the connection as it is still using Logitech G Lightspeeed from the mouse pad.
Not saying that Lightspeed wireless itself is not good, it is indeed a good wireless system but to say that the connection is stronger than wired is just incorrect as the mouse still connects via wireless. Its just that instead of having to plug the nano wireless receiver on a separate port, the mousepad includes the receiver dongle.
@meong: I agree with your comments :) I just thought you were saying that the mouse pad can only charge the mouse.
Or just use rechargeable batteries and have a couple spare on the drawer. Problem solved for a tenner. It's not hard and this is supposed to be ozbargain i.e. eneloop enthusiast club
150 that's some Richie Rich BS
I have this and it's great. Pretty much wireless mouse with indefinite battery life
Was looking at one of these for my wireless G pro mouse. Is it really worth it?
Depends on who you ask.
I regret buying mine (paired with a Logitech G903 mouse).
The G903 needs a recharge about every 2 weeks or so (very rough estimate). Charging with a cable takes about an hour or two. Sometimes I just think I could plug the mouse into charge while I'm doing something else. But I use the charging mat because I paid for it.
I wouldn't recommend the mat to someone else. It does what it says it does, you just don't really need it with this type of battery capacity is all.
I think the idea of never having to worry about charging the mouse is what sold it to me. It's up to you if you think that's worth the asking price.
don't you rest your arm on the mat?
I've got this and it definitely brings my mouse experience to the next level. It works fine with my two G403 wireless and I just love it.
If anyone is also interested in the Logitech G502 Lightspeed or the Logitech G915 Lightspeed, Harvey Norman seem to have these for a pretty decent price at the moment. May not be the cheapest price ever, but better than the current standard price around.
$198 - Logitech G502 Lightspeed (https://www.harveynorman.com.au/logitech-g502-lightspeed-wir…)
$298 - Logitech G915 Lightspeed (https://www.harveynorman.com.au/logitech-g915-lightspeed-wir…)I used Instant eGift cards for an additional 5% off on all three items.

Thanks, I do not have to move now and they will bring it to me :D
I mod my G703 to use qi charger instead with $2. Put it in my phone charger every night and will never worry about battery.
is there a guide?

I am going to do the same.
Did you pull out the weight and put small Qi-charger receiver there (coil)? That's what I am going to do.
I haven't decided if I want to try to solder wires to magnets or use other technics to attach wires to them.that might work. I did cut powerplay wires and solder it to qi receiver wires, then put the coil below the PCB (need to bend the coil a bit though)
Ahhh, I see. You have original PowerPlay receiver.
I don't have it. I am going to take "blank" (weight only) disk and add Qi-charger receiver there.
Owned for years. I think I bought it right after it becomes available in Australia.
Pros:
- Like others mentioned. Works really well with my G pro. You never need to worry about charing your wireless mouse.
- RGB logo, if I have to make another Pro… And it syncs with the mouse via the logitech software..
Cons:
- There are 2 mouse pads come with the charger a G240 like cloth pad and a solid plastic one. I never liked the plastic ones, so for years I have been using the clouth one.
Problem is, this cloth one is easy to get dirty and there is no way to replace it with the same pad. The G240 is rubber on the other side, this G240 like came with the charging pad is plastic smooth surface. So I have to peel of the cloth and glue a G240 on top of the plastic. And it is not fitting well. - Price… it is very expensive.
- Size…It is a bit smaller than what I want. The big cloth mouse pad Logitech is selling is my ideal sie.
Save yourself $120+ and get a magnetic USB cable that's compatible.
At least other companies bother to make their products Qi-charging compatible.
