Bought for $1208 last July. Might worth to wait if it's not urgent. Maybe there will be tax time sale again

  • This is the Gsync model for those with Nvidia cards. The 34-wide is the Freesync version.

    • It has VESA AdaptiveSync which works with nvidia and amd gpu's

I'm about to unbox one of these i bought for $1099 shipped as a refurb.
Still comes with the 3 year advanced exchange warranty, this + the good price + past issues with Samsung warranty left making this choice.

Ah so you're the one who bought it! It was up for a few days and I could not bring myself to spend that much money on a monitor (and I also want to use it for WFH and OLED is not great for that), so thank you for making my mind up for me!

      • Just curious… why would OLED not be great for WFH ?
        Bluelight? Burn in??

I thought they were issues in the past?

The 3 year advanced exchange warranty applies to the refurbs too :D

        • the sub-pixel arrangement impacts the readability of text - see https://www.rtings.com/monitor/tests/picture-quality/text-cl…

Cleartext in Win10/11 helps somewhat, but unless high DPI display, some users still have issues with quality (otherwise, scale the interface)

EDIT: most newer OLED screens have pretty decent burn-in protection…. just some can be inconvenient and force a clean on a timer

          • @HeXa: A few days in and the only issue I've spotted so far is the text Network adapter settings window looking like shite.
Seems as if it's just another one of Microsoft's legacy control panel items that still hasn't gotten around to being modernized.

Otherwise experience has been pretty amazing.

I'm running 125% scaling and haven't touched anything else.

Text readability has been amazing in web browsers and productivity software at both 100% and 125% scaling.

No idea whats going on with those settings windows though, clearly leftover from Windows XP
