    AMD Yes!

    • Intel i9 10900KA = A SLOWER gaming CPU VS AMD Zen 3

      • -3

AMD always forces Intel to lower its price therefore I say AMD Yes! but I buy Intel.

  • +13

what a great timing to buy intel CPUS while the newly launched ZEN 3 is better in every single way!

I'm waiting for new Intel ryzen cpus to launch, oh wait…

    • I have used AMD for the past 5 years exclusively and will still do but value-wise for someone who's conscious of their budget intel has some interesting product rights now. 10700 is nicely positioned.

    • Until benchmarks are released i refuse to get excited in any way that AMD has finally beat intel for gaming.

      • i say it'll match intels best.. don't think it's going to be a beat down gaming wise… vs their own zen 2 cpu's its a beat down.. Price of the AMD cpu's was a little disappointing though :( especially for me who has been waiting for the release .. oh well

Intel i9 10900K VS Zen3 5900X.. they were already showing the two vsing each other and AMD beat the i9 10900K in every gaming benchmark apart from Battlefield were it lost by -3%

          • @vid_ghost: yes i watched the event.. i'm factoring in some cherry picking and overall average, there were a fair few in single digits… looks promising regardless, i've already committed to AMD platform for my latest build but was hoping for pricing to be same as last gen… i'll just have to wait longer for the prices to come down lol

            • @scud70: I can see what AMD did…

Release the "3800X" and "3600X" that NO ONE BUYS!! first as the 5600X and 5800X… then when the stock of Ryzen 3600, 3700 all dry up release the 5600 non X and 5800 non X to replace them as well as compete on price with intels latest and greatest in march next year.. they can also undercut intel and reduce prices on the 5900X. 5800X and 5600X if need be.. unlikely because they will have the 5600 non X and 5800 non X but its an option AMD can go for.

It's not better in every single way, it's actually a complete flip where AMD is now projected to be more expensive than Intel while offering less cores but slightly better single threaded performance.

      • It is better in every single way.

        Price per watt = better
        Price per performance = better
        Price per core = better
        Performance per watt = better
        ext.,, ext,
i can go on but there isn't a single area where Intel has an edge.

          heating performance in winter LOL

        • +2

          Price per watt = better

          This is a pointless statistic

          Price per performance = better

10700F is cheaper and has 8 cores so it can vary between applications.

          Price per core = better

5600X is a 6 core CPU that is more expensive than a 10700F which has 8 cores so no it isn't.

          Performance per watt = better

Intel's CPUs are actually very power efficient if you aren't overclocking and going by the 3000 series the 3600 was one of the least power efficient in their range so it's possible performance per watt isn't better.

    • Not when it comes to actual clock speeds though - that's what I was hoping to see from them. I also only care about high frame rates on 4K resolution as I play on LG CX 77-inch OLED and not on 1080p or QHD so CPU performance doesn't really matter so long as it has 8 cores and 16 threads like the next-gen consoles do. Will probably end up getting a Ryzen system anyway since AMD boards support PCIe 4.0 - speed of storage is going to matter for PS5 and Xbox Series X ports to PC.

its now the world fastest gaming CPU.. meaning at any resolution even 4K it should provide the most FPS… even if its only a few FPS more at 4k.. not sure what your on about.

intel is now a second rate CPU company that makes power hungry overpriced for what you get CPU's

    The fire sale begins!

    • But is this a fire sale or just a sale… or by intel standards it's a fire sale.. lol

      • At 250W, it's a sale of fire.
