2 pack chopped tomatoes for $2. Mutti is one of my favorite brands. Perfect for making pizza/pasta sauce.

You my friend are awesome
Great tomatoes and first time on sale for this price since March! I am stocking up for until the next pandemic!
Thanks OP!
Still have 40 left from previous deal. They are great!
Were you wooed by this previous post? https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/498643
Because I sure was! I went and bought some cans just from that write up alone.
Boy oh boy, I do love those tomatoes.
Yes I was!! I remember buying only 1-2 to try at the beginning and was truly amazed by how sweet and nice they are vs the generic ones I used to buy. Italians know their tomatoes:)
I was… And the first time I've heard of mutti
Yep same here
I legit only buy this brand for tomato sauces!
The brand is good overall, but if you want their best then try the San Marzano version. I find it fruitier, tomato-eyer, and just a bit better for sauces overall. About $4 per can though!

What’s the difference between this and the Aldi chopped tomatoes
Taste and price.
& lots of salt
How much,?
@RSmith: In Chopped it’s 120mg per 100g
These are pretty much the only tinned tomatoes you'll find on the supermarket shelf that are 100% (/99%) tomatoes. Check the label you'll see The others are 60-70% padded out with sweetened reconstituted tomato juice.
I was shilled onto this brand by a borderline erotic ozbargain description and honestly never looked back. These are the black tar heroin of canned tomatoes.
Erotic tomatoes…. I got my late night movie 🤣

This one?
Cleaned up the shelf at my local Coles.
Both wife and I have Italian heritage … We buy Mutti. Can recommend! We typically get them in the big 4kg cans, and batch make sauce to freeze some in ziplock bags :) Though still have some small cans stockpiled too of course!
Think she gets them from Gervasi (in Melb).
i found gervasi's selection of tinned tomatoes slightly disappointing. no san Marzano anywhere that i could find.
psarakos has a good range, including large tins of san Marzano and multiple brandsGood to know thanks!
EDIT: Hmm could even be Mediterranean Wholesalers on second thought where she gets the big tins.. she goes to both :) Gervasi may be where we get the Italian made Nutella…
These are the diced tomatoes par excellence!
I prefer the whole tomatoes over their chopped.
I've been told to avoid getting any chopped or diced.
I always heard that as well, but one of Kenji Lopez-Alt's recent videos he mentions that for a good brand of canned tomatoes, they tend to use the ripest tomatoes for the canned chopped variety so they taste better. I'd say worth taking a stab at for Mutti.
For those worried about Bisphenol-A (BPA), these could actually be safe if they originate from the same source as some cans tested in Denmark in 2016 (Chrome browser advised).
I asked Mutti Australia and they said "Our linings are BPA NI (i.e Free / BPI Not Intended) Polyester Varnish"
Don't know if the polyester varnish is a good thing or not
Thanks OP. Grabbed a bunch from my local this morning.
Has anyone else not been able to find these at their local? (Or have they been broden'd already?)
I went to Crows Nest Coles (NSW) over the weekend, plenty of the twin pack as at Saturday.
Awesome! Will definitely be stocking up. These taste amazing, and good tomatoes make such a difference in sauces and stews.
