10% off Everything at OzGameShop

360
OCT10

10% off everything at OzGameshop for two days.

There are usually a few good deals there most of the time, maybe you'll find something you like (just remember to add shipping fees, unless your order is over $50 in which case it's free).

Note: it's been mentioned in the comments (thanks @juiciness) that the code doesn't work on preorders, so watch out for that.

Note: Not actually Aussie! They ship products from the UK.

Correct. But the games etc are all in PAL format, and perfectly useable in Australia (unless stated otherwise, but I haven't come across it yet).

But I agree that you should take it into consideration, and expect longer delivery times than usual (as stated on the website itself).

I'm sure they'll work fine, but one of the main reasons for wanting physical discs is for your collection. So if you care about uniformity, avoid other region products.

They don't make it clear enough on their site that it's UK PAL 2 rather than AUS 4 so labels etc will differ. Doesn't help with misleading website name either.

However, if that doesn't matter then go for it.

Didn’t neg but it’s fairly obvious that games are imported due to non Australia Classification Board ratings. I agree the store names is misleading, I thought they were Aus based importer but it didn’t take too long to arrive anyway

its clearly written on their website where stuff ships from and who they use to ship

          people can learn to read

We did get stung when buying a DLC for splatoon purchased from ozgameshop. We purchased through an Australian account, but the game was UK region, therefore did not work and Nintendo refused to move the purchase across to a UK account (or refund).

  • No preorders.

    • Cyberpunk is available https://www.ozgameshop.com/search/cyberpunk but I haven't logged in to check if the code works.

Do you mean the 10% doesn't apply to preorders, or that they will take longer to ship when they are released?

      • +1

10% does not apply to preoders.

        • Ok thanks, then that deal they advertise is a bit misleading.

I can't find it mentioned anywhere.

          Thanks for the heads up

  • Do they sell new stock? Or will some of it be pre-owned? I'm looking at their Wii, WIi U and 3DS titles. I would imagine Wii and Wii u has to be pre-owned.

    • Can't say anything about the Wii/Wii U, but thier 3DS stock is new and comes sealed. Picked up Dragon Quest VIII recently and it was factory sealed with the Nintendo strip :D

PS4/Switch stuff is also brand new and sealed.

      • But Nintendo doesn't seal games…

        • They sure do.

        • They do, they're sealed when they arrive at stores here as well but our stores take the wrapping off to take the carts/discs out and then place the empty case on the shelf. They put the game back in the case when you buy it "new" instead of giving you a sealed copy.

This is why when you import games they come sealed because the online stores have no reason to open them.

          • @Megumin: That makes sense, they need to put the disks and carts in a blast proof safe in case you visit.

I believe the consoles arent sealed though, unless that has recently changed.

            • @NobalaKoba: It's probably to stop stealing in stores, I don't blame them for it though as they have to protect thier stock somehow. I could only imagine the amount of games that would be stolen if our stores had the sealed copies out.

That's correct, none of the consoles are sealed :)

Hi. Have purchased a few Wii U titles that have been sealed. All pre-owned is clearly marked on their website.

Thanks Megumin and Chicky. I ordered a Wii game among others. Let's see if this will be sealed.

  • Havent seen this store in a while! Used to be so good

A recent game and watch Mario bros non-deal from them was a good example https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/567063

    • Used to be good back when the Aussie Dollar was stronger and they didn't have to charge GST.

Also free shipping on everything, those were the days.

        • Agreed. They only use the online delivery business model. I think the delivery problems due to COVID-19 hit them hard, and they will take a while to get back to how they were in the good old days (which wasn't that long ago).

  • In case anyone is wondering, you can't stack the coupon with Player Point discounts

  • Ordered through the UK store a couple of times (365games.co.uk) when living overseas. Has some pretty decent deals sometimes and the player points do help.

  • The Sega Mini seems a good price. $119.24 delivered.

Used ozgameshop in last few year all had good experience, and all of them arrived fairly quick (within 2 weeks). However do note that it will be a bit of wait especially with all the COVID postage delay going on. Current still waiting for a game they shipped out 2 weeks ago.

  • Buyer beware. I purchased an item earlier in the year, paid for priority delivery, and it ended up taking 8 weeks to receive. I contacted customer service 20 working days after the item was purchased and they told me I had to wait until 21 days had passed.

I tried to contact them multiple times after the next day and got no response whatsoever.

The gift was for a birthday present which I ordered 4 weeks prior to when I needed it.

    • Sorry to hear it mate, especially since it was supposed to be a present. But earlier this year a lot of freight simply stopped due to Covid19.

I can imagine them getting overwhelmed by a sudden avalanche of mail from unhappy customers. It's possible they simply couldn't cope.

  • Wouldn't work on vinyl records despite the page for vinyl records having the banner at the top that says "10% off where you can see this banner".
