[NSW, QLD, SA] ReAmped Energy - Electricity Prices up to 31% Less than The Reference Price

220

Just did a search to ensure I was getting the best electricity prices and noticed ReAmped Energy have updated their pricing & plans. ReAmped is an Australian-based electricity retailer that keep costs down by managing customer service online. Since launching in 2019, ReAmped Energy’s plans have regularly topped the list of cheapest plans. Customers get efficient and quality service via online chat from their customer service team based in Brisbane. They've updated their prices and plans and now include a Solar Plan and a pay in advance which is the cheapest I've found.

There's also no lock-in contract or complicated pay on time discounts, the pricing is simple and low.

Remember to select the "ReAmped Handshake" plan if it's available as it cheaper and no real contract (no fees to leave) its a "handshake agreement" or if you want even cheaper and are prepared to pay in advance then choose "ReAmped Advance".

Also note they will wait until your next meter read to switch you over but you can request a special read and get moved over asap, I didn't pay extra for that (just requested via the chat function).

Yep Im on their "Advance Plan" and you pay 2 weeks in advance.
I have a spreadsheet that enters my usage etc and rates and shows what is cheap.

Rates are cheaper with their setup.

Not to mention the $50 credit for signing up with referral friends code!

  • AGL is still best value for me in SA with solar. YMMV

  • +2

Man I hate the new "First 5.0 kWh of export per day", in summer it could be upto 30kwh exported so that's really useless

  • +1

I am with ReAmped as it is cheap and got $50 joining credit. There are other providers slighly cheaper than this but not sure if I should switch.
    No solar at this property.

    NSW

Your Plan: ReAmped Handshake | Anytime & CL2

    Prices (including GST)

    Anytime
    $0.1896/kWh
    Controlled Load 2
    $0.1493/kWh
    Daily Supply Charge
    $0.9787/day

    • inclusive of GST?

      • +1

        Yes.
By default they show prices excluding GST (which I don't like it personally), so have to toggle the switch to make it inclusive of GST.

  • SA gets absolutely shafted compared to the rest of the country.

First 5.0 kWh of export per day)

Sounds like crap, given that you can easily get 5kWh on a cloudy day, and at least 20-30kWh on an average day.

    Think I'll stick with AGL.

  • +3

Solar feed in kills it for me.

    • +3

I think anyone with solar probably shouldn't be with them (unless you have the perfect size system that you use everything you produce and don't export anything)

  • Origin solar boost
    Peak Usage
    23.93 c/kWh With 23% discount 18.43 c/kWh

    Daily Supply Charge
    111.50 c/Day With 23% discount 85.86 c/Day

    Solar 15c/kWh

    • Network?

      • ENERGEX in QLD

    • I can't see anywhere on Origin where they offer this deal - rang Origin and was not able to get that deal. They only offer 9 cent feed in and also don't offer 28%. The deal you are on, is by far the best deal around, but not obtainable anymore

    • Do you also have the controlled rate and or the solar meter charge rate too by chance? :)

      • Solar meter charge around 6.7c/day. Not sure controlled load though

  • Hi,
Is there somewhere that I can get a referral link?

  • +1

scroll up it's below all the text info under REFERRAL LINKS

    • +1

kk wasnt sure how it works, understand now. thanks!

  • Compared to my current AGL plan it's almost 10c cheaper per KWh but the supply charge is higher by 30c per day. I am a bit confused if this is better or not.

    • You will need to work out using excel if you will be better off or not based on previous bill usage.

    • +1

yes you will need to calculate based on historic usage simply put using 3kw per day or more you cover that additional 30c and then start saving

      • Just did the calculation and It would be around $11 cheaper per month . Not feeling motivated enough to switch but will definitely sign up when I move next time .

        • $50 referal credit as well if u switch.

But ehhh not like you can get a meal from that :P

  • +1

Jeez.. checked up on my mum's power and this is going to save $450 a year.

  • I'm with Enegery Oz atm on their Total Plan (Home)
    Peak Consumption 13.35556 kWh/day
Total is 1,202.000 kWh at $0.296879 per kWh rounding out to $356
Total Plan (Home) Supply Charge - 90 days is $0.847000 per day = $76.23

What does Control Load 1 & 2 mean? WIll this be cheaper for me?

    Edit - did some math
    Reamped Classic - 368
    Reamped Advanced - 278
    Reamped Handshake - 263
    Energy Oz - 433

If I did this right, then is handshake cheapest followed by Advanced?

    • +1

where exactly are you? definitely looks cheaper for you, depends if you are on anytime (same rate no matter what time of day) or time of use charge
so you are paying $0.296 kWh which is high and given your consumption you are less concerned with the daily supply charge and more the per kWh rate

I would imagine Advanced is best but then you do pay up front followed by Handshake

      • NSW - Anytime rate with Energy Australia.
I signed up with them but they quoted Dec as the move date due to that being the next meter read.

        • +1

if you want connection before your next read just go on the chat facility on their website and ask them, they orgainse a special read (it didn't cost me extra but worth asking)

  • +1

Just signed up with a referral at the top, hope someone gets $50!

  • I'm thinking of signing up. For those who are with ReAmped, how is your experience so far?

    • +1

been with them for 9 months and can't fault them, previously with Click energy & alinta both of which I had issues with. Simple monthly billing and Brisbane based customer service, I do any contact through the online chat, just remember if you want to move across before you next meter read just contact them to organise a special read. Don't forget the referral to get $50 towards your first bill

      • Thanks Irishness, this is very helpful!
