Just thought this is interesting. Ozbargain was in the list of shopping websites in a Roy Morgan survey I did (well, am doing - it is bloody long)

Is this unexpected?
Not really sure. Guess it is nice to know that this place counts as a major player
But is it? That would be a very loose term, Like saying staticice or CamelCamelCamel or Pricehipster are shopping websites?
If it's a portal to a lot of people buying stuff, being told what stuff to buy, then they want to know about it because there is money to be made. It could be worth some larger corporation with their own deals portal to target users they know rely on Pricehipster for example, and siphon them away to a platform which offers the same kind of thing. Maybe McDonald's would want to target OzBargain users with their own deal portal, if Maccas thought we especially loved regularly updated deal portals. OP is helping the research firm get an idea of what a typical OZB user is like, and the research firm can use that data however they like. If a competing deal portal wanted to compete more directly with OZB or was thinking of buying OZB, they might approach Roy Morgan to give them the inside scoop.
The list is in alphabetical order except the last four. It looks like OZB didn't originally make the cut but was added later on in the process along with Catalogue Central, Australian Catalogues, and OzSale.
Yeah I had one of those too. And recently got one with CR and SB along with a couple that I haven't heard before.
We have been in Roy Morgan's report since 4 years ago. Somehow they are still categorising us as a retailer site.
Sometimes I don't know what those companies are thinking. In retail surveys, I still see Masters and Thomas Dux listed.
Nice.
