    Hey rep,
Any code for the 16ch 4k system please.
    Thanks

Fair warning: I bought one of these kits from Amazon and despite the name convention implying a camera model the cameras were B500 not RLC-410s. (You might expect you were getting RLC-520 in this case… do not assume as i did!).

Maybe not a problem if you only ever want to use with NVR, but super annoying if you wanted to use with e.g. blue iris or similar. (B400/B500 use a proprietary streaming format).

    • It lists RLC-410 and 520's under the "What's in the box". Did you buy the same kit and get different cameras?

What are people's thoughts on the problem of someone noticing a camera on your house, breaking in anyway, grabbing what they want and then the NVR on the way out?

I'm thinking of hiding this in the attic/basement etc..
Would imagine the people are too busy stealing and don't have the luxury time of trying to play hide and seek with the NVR.

    • Get cameras that also store motion to sd card. That way they also need to take the cameras! So long as you don't leave a ladder laying around, you've still got your footage.
My inside cameras also email me stills if they detect motion while I'm away. A UPS keeps everything powered long enough that turning the power off won't stop the footage getting out and giving me time to call the police and a neighbor.

    • Set up email for captured video/email + put the NVR somewhere hidden or secured. In going to mine up in the roof or in the garage somewhere.

In going to mine up in the roof or in the garage somewhere.

That won't be great in summer. unless it is air-con?

    • Consider also fitting a UPS in case they turn off the power circuits.

      • Really. In this case the best bet is to have an all alarm with battery backup. Always does what it needs to and will alert the neighbours

        • I don't rate the effectiveness of alarms anymore unless they're monitored. I hear them going off in my area on a regular basis (same houses) and no one bats an eyelid

    • I'm going for a camera setup along with a wired alarm. Best of both worlds in my opinion.
