$403 at TGG commercial for those who have access

  • $431 - 24 (eGC) - 6 (CB) = $401, but ALOT of effort with eGC purchase.

Can probably just walk into a TGG and ask them to price match TGG commercial and pay with 5% discounted TGG giftcards so it comes to $383

  • This or Xiaomi Mi Pro?

Xiaomi Pro CAD 500m3/hr @ $260 per unit

With $431 you could almost buy 2 of the Pro and get 1000m3/hr, thought the unit is about 3 years old now.

Or an even better idea, buy two of the Xiaomi 3H Air purifier at $199 each and get 380m3/hr x3, pocket the $31 difference :D

  • The range of Breville air purifiers (150, 300 and 500) are now a clearance item, so expect some sales to kick in for these. I was looking at the 150 and 300 today at Hardly Normal and they wouldn't price match Amazon (didn't really expect them to, but no harm in asking) so I said I would get it from Amazon instead. For the sake of $20 you would think brick and mortar stores would want the business, but, oh well…

Best to stock up on some filters too - you never know just how long they will be made for.

    • The new 508 with wifi function uses the same filter. Likely a replacement for the 500.

      • Good to know, thanks!

  • I currently have this and it works wonders! My sneezing and clogged nose disappeared within a week.

    • Just wondering if you let it running over night as well?

    Disgusting pricing.

Exactly, overpriced and outdated compared to other purifiers. They just can't compete.

      • Care to elaborate please?

        • It should be as simple as a fan with a HEPA filter. A decent air purifier shouldn't be any more than $50 these hundreds of dollar air purifiers are just disgusting priced.

          • @deelaroo: Valid point. Can be said to many products sold.

$50 is abit short, given a fan is around that sort of money. Don't see why the product should cost more than $100.

Cost is not so much on manufacturing.
            1. R&D
            2. Marketing
            3. Aftersales support
            4. Overhead
            5. Storage

Whatever amount it is, covers lifecycle of the product. $400 is at the lower end compared to the ones close to $1000.

In fact, I prefer an green levy to be placed on all electronic goods. These days, things are so cheap (and no durable) and end up in the landfill after light use.

$400 is not disgusting, facts highlighted in War on waste is what truly upsetting.
