  I used to make these as a kid, break electric toys and pull the lights, motors out, connect with wires bulbs, batteries, make my own little inventions. And now they're decorative things lol.

    My son has a similar one on his desk from Japan. Not sure if it's the same. Could be a night light. I like the random stuff. Looked at the other items on the other post. Mostly boring note pads, novelty pens. or pencil cases.
