20OFF

I was in the market for some protein powder, and read about Venom Protein being very good value for money, from ozbargain.
s
After a few emails, and much scouring on the internet, discovered there's a coupon for 20% the order (not newsltd, which only drops $10).

I thought I'd share this with other ozbargainers… please be nice as I can't comment on the quality of the protein, as I'm yet to receive mine.

Prices.
4kg WPC - was $85, now $68.15 delivered.
(this code works for all four protein products they're selling).

That price is for the natural flavour. i would def not get it.
Also the nutritional info is very wonky. 30.2g of protein and 05.g of carbs and 0.1g or fat and yet the calories are 150 per serve. any1 who knows anything about macronutrients knows that it doesn't add up… there are at least 20c unaccounted for per serve.

Honestly mate you're better off sticking to well known brands when it comes to protein. If you don't want to shell out for ON, then check out proteindirect for budget stuff (I hear they're decent value for money and a good product but I use ON and cant vouch for it).

Optimum Nutrition 100% Whey is unbeatable. International Protein is great as well for a cheaper option.

Yeah nothing tastes and mixes better than ON whey. Even with just water it tastes good.

    • I've been buying from proteindirect.com.au for a while now. No problems. I get the unflavoured one and just add milo to each shake. I know others who get theirs from bulknutrients no problems either. Just stating other alternatives.

just switched to international protein from ON. im finding its actually working better for me

    • Yeh, its a great alternative. I only use either of these two. International is loaded with extra BCAA and Essentials with is handy.

something don't sound right, wpc has way more carbs and fat than that product is stating. That sounds more like isolate numbers…

  • its about right. natural flavouring, so minus the carbs from the flavouring. Mate if you want to bulk buy try aussienutrition or bulknutrients. can't go wrong.

  • the expiry date says 31/12/2012. normally these stuffs last over 2 years. maybe some kiwi protein manufacturers are offloading their stocks like cleanskin wines? i have been using Horleys (used a couple of other brands too). it works well for me!!!

  • Thanks for your comments everyone…

Well my order's been shipped… Once I've used it a little while, then I'll know if it was worth it.

Although price wise, it seems the best bang-for-your-buck that I seemed to find.

Best value WPC can be found on ebay.. $13.83 per kg. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/20KG-PURE-WHEY-PROTEIN-CONCENTRAT…

I'm baffled as to why people want fillers in their protein powder? Why have all the other crap in there even if it's just for taste.. I find the 100% whey to be nice flavor with either milk or water, grow some balls and chug it down… if you really find it difficult add some cocoa & honey.

I have purchased this stuff from ebay and i highly recommend it: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/1kg-Pure-WPC-Whey-Protein-Concent…

    • Your first link was made by Fonterra (kiwi company). It is one of the top 3 diary producers in the world, and definitely biggest in Australia and New Zealand.

  • Bulk Nutrients. You can't go wrong with them.

Their flavours in WPC and WPI are unbeatable and got pretty good reviews from a few forums as well.

Love the strawberry and vanilla. Good price too.
