  • what is the normal selling price?
    Is this discounted?

is it cheaper at HN or GG?

      model number: WF8750LSW1
$899 RRP I gather, but this means nothing as the above questions still apply.

    • The RRP is $899. Pricing will vary but you would be hard pressed to find this price anywhere. Our Pricing is cheaper because we buy in bulk so you are recieving commercial pricing.

    • Cant otherwise than to agree with 'articfox', stay away from Samsung washing machines. TVs, laptops, phones seem to be very good but the washing machines. We purchased one almost 4 years ago and within that period we had changed thermostat, water pump, door knob, hose sealing two times just to name few. Do your research online, if you really want to have Samsung, get the extended warranty we had from GG. But really, not worth the hassle and downtime anymore.

Personally I would stay away from Samsung washing machines. My friend had one failed on him just after three weeks. Called Samsung and there was a huge fight going on. Samsung didnt fix the unit until a month and a half later. Stay away from these at all costs! You are better off getting Hoover, Simpson or Westinghouse or some other well know brands.

    • I've never had any issues with Samsung washing machines. I guess your friend got a faulty one.

Even so it was faulty, if you ever need to call Samsung customer service, they are terrible. Wouldnt recommend to any one.

Frankly, your friend's bad experience of owning the product has nothing to do with the bargain itself. It's like saying a $99 HP Touchpad is not a bargain because it performs very poorly or their after sales customer services are bad. A bargain is a bargain.

I agree with you 110% after what I experienced from getting a standard part listed on the parts page for my Samsung fridge which did not come when delivered. I had a 1 hour phone fight with them (Indian female I think), they argued it was an 'optional'. I shouted, they blamed it all on me saying it 'isn't their problem it did not come with the fridge'. Unbelievable! They rang the next day saying sorry and all but that is the worst ever customer service I have EVER HAD with any company. Then the part/s came a month later, which were the wrong part—I gave up. NEVER EVER EVER buying Samsung again!

        • I bought a similar Samsung washing machine front loader almost 10 years ago and up to now is still working perfectly. Cannot comment on the customer service coz i never had a reason to call them up. The heating element allows you to connect to cold water only and water is heated up internally which is good.

I would go buy this from a brick and mortar store though like HN or Good Guys if they can come close to price matching these. They at least try to help you first on any warranty issues.

    • pfft…I have a Samsung front loader very similar to this (older model) used extensively for the last 4 years. No issues what so ever.

  • I assume we can still claim $50 cashback from Samsung or did your company already claimed this?

    http://www.samsung.com/au/promotions/home-appliances/washing…

    • We Do not claim any cash backs from suppliers so you are free do so with the supplier.

      • Is your business part of the participating supplier to be able to claim this?

I cannot see which are the ones available in Samsung site

EDIT: Disregard my question. Based on Samsung's T&C, I do not think this claim is possible with your business.

        4.
To be eligible to claim, eligible claimants must purchase a selected Samsung Front Load Washer or Washer/Dryer Combination (models detailed in the table below) ("Participating Product") from any participating Australian retail store during the Offer Period. For the purpose of these Terms and Conditions, "purchase" means payment in full of the Participating product. For clarity, the definition of a participating product expressly excludes "C grade" or "seconds" products. The Promoter recommends that prior to purchase the customer verify that the retailer is authorised to participate in this promotion.

        5.
The promotion excludes participating products purchased through any online retailer who does not also have a shopfront (for example, www.shoppingsafari.com.au, www.thebargainhunter.com.au, www.shopbot.com.au), online bidding or auction websites (including www.ebay.com.au) or otherwise purchased through unauthorised retailers.

        • The cash back promotion Samsung had on their washers finished on the 31.10.11.
          http://www.samsung.com/au/promotions/index.html

        • Offer available from 2nd September to 31st October 2011

          OR

          UNTIL ALL CASHBACKS ARE REDEEMED.

They still have over 503 cashback available for Tier 2

  • Choice magazine members can use this to maybe squeeze a few more dollars from another retailer. Of course this applies to all whitegoods purchase. For postcode 3000, the shipping for this item comes to $37.

  • This is hardly a bargain, you can get much better brands like Simpson, Hoover etc for around $500 with similar specs. A quick search on the Internet comes with Whirlpool 7.5kg for $544 http://www.theappliancewarehouse.com.au/p-3157-whirlpool-75k… which is a brand and washing machine. Simpson has similar pricing as well for $495 http://www.appliancesonline.com.au//7kg-front-load-simpson-w…

  • Inc shipping, this is cheaper by $10 than Appliances online. However, what is the warranty on this?

    • All our products are new with full manafacturer warranty. This Samsung washer has a 2 year warranty.

    • How is this a bargain if it's only $10 cheaper than AO's online quoted price. If you give AO a call, they may even match the price.

      • Shipping prices will vary so in some cases the savings will be more.

  • I already own 6kg Maytag F/L, for the last 5+ years. Never had an issue.
I was looking to upgrade mine to a bigger one, looking at the comments I'd stay away from Samsung washing machines.

    • Todays 7.5 kg machine is probably no different than a 5 year old 6 kg machine. Testing standards have changed in recent years.
That said, as someone who fixes washing machines and has dealt with Samsung, I wouldn't have this unless it was free.

  • I got the next model up (or a few up) 8.5 kg. Had a basic Hoover top loader before. The first one I got was too noisy (It's sold as a quiet model). The dealer was a bit temperamental about getting another one. Washes very well, but does take 2 hours on normal cycle with full load (there is a quick half hour cycle). You need to plan your washing.

  • I recall a recent Choice Magazine review of front loaders. Anyone know if this machine or a similar Samsung model was reviewed and what comments, if any, were made?
