thanks for your review! if TM size are much bigger than H&C then i have no interest buying
I could not disagree more. "Typical Myer business shirts" are not of the same quality of cotton, are likely of equally ill-fitting cut (as compared with a tailored shirt) and are typically available in a narrower selection of colours and styles.
I take quality to be a reference to the fabric (as off the rack sizing varies from company to company). To be honest, I find the suggestion that the quality leaves a lot to be desired absurd. What are you wearing the rest of the time?
Could you specify which shirts you bought?
I've heard decent reviews about TM Lewins slim range
Have you bought any shirts from Charles Tyrwhitt?I have bought shirts from H & C and Charles Tyrwhitt and have found them both excellent value as compared to local products. I have read some reviews that TM Lewin is comparable to both of them. Some interesting discussion on ranking of these brands by some ozbargainers in this post http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/52860
I wear tm lewin shirts daily. Why because it is heaps better the blaq, van hausen etc from myers.
I have received the same email however, it dont believe it says anywhere that it is a delivered price. I think delivery is additional $28.Previously tm allowed us to buy from tmlewin.co.uk, but now it is redirected to com.au. Why would i buy from uk? because in uk the price is 5 for 100 pounds including 20% VAT(gst). For export sales they give you 15% discount that offsets the delivery cost and used to work out cheaper.
Checked the price excludes delivery. The price is $160+28 delivery =>$188 for 5 shirts
Incorrect. Orders over $150 are free delivery.
I think they are having bugs with their website adding $28 for delivery. Last time I emailed them about that, they responded within a few hours saying just let them know what shirts you want and they will process the order with free delivery.
is delivery free? i cant seem to get free del on my cart.
Here is the response I got from them a while back…

It shows the delivery costs
thanks - i had the same email from the customer service confirming refund of del charges if charged.
I managed to get free delivery ordering 5 only this morning, using this code. It's funny because it wouldn't work from home. TM Lewin also emailed me confirming that if I could take a screen cap of the free delivery offer they would honour it, which doesn't necessarily sit that nicely with what everyone else has said, but, meh, who cares. They will honour it and it should be free.
Its for 4 shirts not 5 shirts :)
It is 5 shirts. At checkout you will need to apply the code 5FORA160
Yep, couldn't get the site to discount the $28 AUD delivery however if you note the bottom of the page it does suggest orders over $150AU is free delivery Australia and New Zealand. (When you click on the delivery info tab) Not sure how to get that actioned. Still happy with these shirts for the price. Bargain I say.
The normal 'slim fit' shirts are slim fit in the same way that a midget needs an XXXXXXL.
However, the John Francomb shirts are a good 'slim fit' cut. I have 4 of the slim fit and 4 of the JF. The 4 slim fit are probably the equivalent of Van Heusen or so. The John Francombs feel more like a Booksfield to Geoffrey Beene type of shirt.
wait, so which is the slimmer of the two?
ive bought from CT and H&C before, and although it's good quality, they arent slim at all, they are quite baggy and i tried to get the smallest possible.
To compare to say a Rhodes and Beckett:
TM Lewin JF is cut more like R&B Slim Fit
TM Lewin Slim Fit is cut like R&B Regular
TM Lewin Regular - no idea, I imagine something like wearing a hot air balloon?
Anyone know how the Slim Fit sizing compares to Van Heusen Euro? Looser or tighter?
Ordered some TM Lewins recently. Helpful customer service team, but the quality of the shirts leaves a lot to be desired. Feels floppy and cheap. You can do better buying the typical Myer business shirts on sale. Also, TM Lewin sizes are massive, even for the slim cut products.
