    I highly recommend a Stanley Fat Max 8m tape measure if you at all use a tape measure regularly, Especially trying to measure long sections by yourself.

        Every positive dollar helps but giving them $3.95 in exchange for them spending $6-8 in postage plus the item cost means that they have negative dollars and negative dollars don't help.

    I use one of these daily and cannot recommend it enough: https://www.bunnings.com.au/stanley-5m-tape-measure_p5661506.

    Not really an apples-to-apples comparison since it's over double the price ($9) at Bunnings and you need to pick it up / pay for delivery etc. but it's a tape measure that will last you ages. They're well made: I've dropped mine countless times on concrete and the shell hasn't cracked, the bearings are smooth and the tape is wide and therefore more rigid than the Lowes one, making it easier to use since you can hook it over edges from further away.

    8 m is also available (https://www.bunnings.com.au/stanley-8m-tape-measure_p5660379) for $1 more but for me personally the increase in weight + bulk isn't worth it for extra length that I never use.

    I don't like these tape measures that don't allow you to measure using the body of the measure as well. It's a bit limiting in some situations especially when making inside measurements.
