    The gift cards expirations are 3 years from the date of purchase. The 5% off expires in a month.

        It just means the last day of the month stated on the gift card. Not the last day of the month you bought it in.

          And that's why I wrote you should watch out (instead of don't buy). If you are unfortunate enough to come across an old card with a September 2020 expiry and didn't check, then you have 20 days to use it.

            @alvian: The cards don't have expiry dates printed on them, they are always activated upon payment. That being said, they don't have a spot, like the strip on the back of credit cards, for one to write on.

            People also need to note that there's no way to check the balance of these cards except for when using it to pay for something. They are also redeemable at some Woolies cobranded Caltex so can be used in conjunction with 4c off fuel, though seasoned OzBargainers should be using 5% off Wish egift cards anyway.
