these better not get sand in them. In fact for $123 It would be reasonable to expect they come with their own smaller towel to dry the first one off
GOLD
I would rather drip dry than shell out that sort of money.
$300 for a beach towel, surely you jest?
i'd be afraid to take it to the beach for fear of it getting wet or stolen …
it'd be like leaving a mobile phone lying on the beach sand
i just spin dry..that added extra fun
Wow, talk about designer beach towels, even the sale price is ridiculously high! Has anyone purchased these before to see the quality?
I've got a couple of the bath towels and they are easily the best quality ones in my house.
I have a $20 microwave from k-mart which is easily the best quality microwave in my house.
LOL
ALSO GOLD
We have a few Missoni Home items in our house — bed sheets, cushions, bath towels. My partner bought them on clearance a couple of years ago when she was in the US. (The prices Myer and Spence & Lyda charge in Australia for Missoni Home are ridiculous.)
Quality? Nothing special. Made in Italy, and the quality certainly isn't bad (fabrics are yarn-dyed rather than printed, and have held up well after two years of use), but I've seen better. For the price one probably should be looking at Frette and Yves Delorme instead (for sheeting and bath towels at least), amongst others. I personally wouldn't pay $123 for a Missoni Home beach towel; give me any run-of-the-mill towel made from Egyptian cotton and I'm happy.
As with most things related to fashion, most of the premium you're paying is for style and brand rather than the intrinsic quality of the product.
It's been a while since I've shopped at Forward Forward, but I believe you can use the promo code tulip for an additional 15% off. If you are a first time customer, they may also still give a 30% discount off your order if you email them.
Back in the 1970s I purchased two Hermes beach towels. They were the only BIG towels I could find - 6 foot long and very wide. I remember one had a Leopard and the other a marine design with rope. They were around $500 each at the time. I believe similar ones (not nearly as big, not nearly as nice, and with less colours) cost around $750 each these days.
Wow $500 for a towel in the 70's! In the early 70's 2 towels would be half a new car, 1975 average weekly pay was around $150. So a months pay for a towel.
Wow - speechless.
Last time I went to the beach a dog took a dump on my towel. I'm glad I didn't pay $300 for it.
Unless it was a pedigree, $300 for a dog would be too expensive.
$300?? haha. 70x40" rectangle of cotton… try $50 tops.
Must be a damn good beach towel to be worth $123…
