Awesome co-op game. Puzzles get really mind bending and the yelling at friends will intensify. An absolute no brainer at this price
This game is actually surprisingly not bad for kids either. My 5 year old can play most levels and only requires some intervention with the trickier bits.
It never ceases to amaze me how good kids are at games.
Love playing this with my son.
You really have to work together on the puzzles, and there are characters that give funny commentary as you play (if you liked GladOS in the Portal games, you'll probably like this).
Does this or Overcooked have a better track record for destroying families/friendships/relationships?
Asking for a friend…
I would say this is way more forgiving - failing and restarting does not feel anywhere near as brutal as Overcooked. Once your kitchen is on fire controllers get thrown, but at least with this you'll have a good enough idea of the steps required up until the point of your fail.
This one is far more puzzle-based cooperative than Overcooked, which is straight-up yelling and ordering the other person to chop the f-ing tomatoes, hurry the hell up, we're going to lose the level!
Overcooked, mainly because there's a countdown timer, so there's a sense of urgency which leads to yelling. Death Squared levels are not timed, so everyone can take their time to ponder and work things out.
Beyond worth it at this price, can definitely recommend - kids enjoy it too.
My 7 yo routinely asks to play Death Squared in co-op with me. It's a fun time and an absolute steal at this price. Get on board.
I also had really good fun with this, with 1, 2, 3, and 4 players at $1.79, there's not much to lose :)
Guys….I was looking to gift this to someone. However it asks me to access Nintendo eShop on the Nintendo Switch console linked to this Nintendo Account. How do I give this as a gift to someone (yes I am a cheapo :))
You can't gift eShop games currently.
bummer ! Thanks anyways…
This game is awesome fun for 4 people on a lazy day
Any way to buy this if I don't have my switch on/near me?
I've never done it but I believe you can purchase through the nintendo website linked to in this deal. There's certainly a Purchase button available on there. I believe when you go to your Switch you can then go to the eShop and download it from your apps.
Yep. I've done it plenty of times, much easier to paste my password from Lastpass/complete 2FA on my phone than the switch itself.
It automatically starts downloading to the switch.
Oh automatically starts downloading is even sweeter! Thanks for the extra info!
I've never bought anything via the eshop, but it looks like you can only make the purchase using the switch? Can't do the transaction on PC/mobile?
My 7yo loves this game! Good value for $1.69 :)
Death squared….. Yoook r u ok?
