Do yourself a favour and just wait for iPhone 12 to come out, higher baseline storage and faster and a year newer. You'd have to be impatient to buy a iPhone 11/pro/pro max now unless you can find an AMAZING deal right now

    • What if you need a phone now, and now 2+ months from now when it is finally unveiled, released, and comes back in stock after the inevitable rush, demand for iPhones is always going up.

      • +1

Just pre order one, done. also, iPhone 11/pro/pro max would go way down in price as soon as the iPhone 12 is out and you can get it straight away without waiting for stock

  • iphone 12 has 120hz or not?

    • +1

Apparently they cancelled doing that because it didn't pass testing so next year there might be 120hz not on the iPhone 12 this year

      • +2

A good reason to stick with your XS for another year and wait for iPhone 13.

        • If I had XS, id wait until iPhone 14. Xs is a solid phone and maybe hold onto it for way longer.

    • It'll be available on the iPhone 12S Pro Max Ultra mk2 5G

Massive LOL @OP must have been in hibernation for the last 6 months ….

    comes with GST Tax Invoice { Eligible for TRS }

The way some local fifedoms (AKA "states") are going, there might be TRS counters on state borders soon.

    • I can claim gst back anytime so $1454 is a bargain if you can, mobile monster are paying $1400 for a near year old used.

  • 5nm is a big leap from 7nm, not worth $300 saving, a friend even tries to sell her 256gb 11 pro max for $1050 to me but Id rather wait lol

    • Is it the green one? I might buy it.

    • How do I get in touch with your "friend", sounds like a great deal I would be interested in buying it.

      • Bianca is her name :), phone sold on Gumtree anyway

        • So I just checked the whole of Australia on Gumtree and the cheapest phone that you mentioned is $1350, I then did a search through all the ads between 1350 and 1600 and still couldn't find a Bianca.

Could you post a link to "Bianca's" ad?

          • @solidice: You can't list gumtree ads on ozbargain comments, you can private message them tho

            • @jayboi: I wasn't aware of that, my bad <insert monkey covering eyes emoticon here>.

If you can directly message me the link that would be fabulous!

              • @solidice: You can private message in ozbargain but I cannot find an iPhone 11 Pro max anywhere on gumtree for $1050

    • +1

$1050 is a bargain, I would jump on it with no questions asked.

    • I'll buy it… lol

  • +6

Not really $300 off, more like $100 off.

OW & JB are selling for $1800

  • Still good, but just wait till the rumours become fact, then a) get 12, or b) get 11 at discount.

  • Has there been any news yet on what the new iPhone will cost?

    • same price as the 11 but with double the base storage

    3 brothers

TBH I was expecting kebabs, not mobiles.

    • LOL +1

  • These are going to be at better price in a few months as soon as new Iphone is released. If you are not in urgent need of a phone. Wait!

    • -1

Even if you are in urgent need of a phone just get a cheap $50 4G smartphone from Woolworths to keep you going until the new iPhone is released

      • for 2 months lol, they always go up $100 too.

      • +1

if someone is considering buying a premium phone like this, this is an absurd comment

    • Im not sure they will be, even the iPhone XS is still big dollars from JB hifi.

  • Have had this phone for a year, best and last of the 5.8". Battery still 100%. I'd probably look for a near new or 6 month old one on gumtree though, mobile monster are paying $1400 for this phone now so holding some value for now, $600 down after a near years use is not bad.

    • How’d you maintain 100% battery? Mine’s 97% and I’ve had it for 6 months. Probably cause I’m a very heavy user hey? Any tips?

      • No idea, i have mainly used a samsung wireless charger at home, it's slow maybe that's it, i have used the 18w when away and use CarPlay in my car plugged in. Other that cant help you, my wife has a XR that is 18 months old and is 98%, charged the same way.

      • My previous 7's battery degraded pretty quickly but when i bought my XS Max 23 months ago (also from this store), I've tried to keep the charge in between 30% and 80% as I recalled reading that it 'stresses' the battery a bit less. I'm no battery expert but it seems to have helped, especially for the first year or so. Currently at 91% health which seems ok for 2 years?

        • Mine is at 82% after 2 years, gets hot while using the genuine Apple charger. Sending it back to get looked at, not holding my breath by with AppleCare+ I am crossing my fingers.

          • @Gradesbrah: Did you follow any charging routine at all? That's quite a substantial difference between us

            • @Chickenleg: I am a heavy use due to work. Usually overnight charging - Apple times the charging rate to my wake time. And then a boost charge at around 3pm or 5pm everyday.

Never let it get to 0% but commonly hit red. It is unavoidable with my use needs but the new batteries with more screen time should keep me out of the 20% range before I can boost charge.
