And people thing AirPods look weird lol.

      Wearing a pair of kidneys

      • +3

        A kidney for a kidney.

        • +1

Better than having matchsticks stock to them.

    • Maybe just not their thinks

    • +13

And people thing AirPods look weird lol.

AirPods look weird because when you put them on, you have these white stalks dangling from your ear.

These look weird until you wear them, where they sit inside your ear far more discreetly than large white stalks hanging off your ear.

    • +2

      They have to look weird.

how would anyone know how interesting you are if they couldn't see your Apple products?

    • Airpods do. These are discrete.

  • how good are these for running in park(not a plain surface)

    • Galaxy Buds+ will be better, I use them for gym and runs. Better sound. Depends if you need ANC.

      • The ANC on these are apparently trash. Reviews say that they can’t even mask the sound of leaves rustling

    • Not good for jumping apparently

    • +2

they have a total of zero limbs so they absolutely, unequivocally run very poorly in the park.

      • How about running on water?

        • +3

That would absolutely not work. They run on batteries.

    • Doesn't seem to be good for running (says IPX2 on the specs and apparently needs to be IPX4 to be sweat proof)

  • The reviews for these things aren't particularly good. Lightweight bass due to the lack of sound isolation and poor noise cancellation.

    • I suppose the Airpods Pro are more for people who dont mind having something protruding into their ear canals…

I got Jabra 65T which people had claimed to be comfy but i still find them painful after a while even with the smallest tip…

I wonder if these bean-style buds comfort is a good trade off for reduced NC or SQ?

The reviews for these things aren't particularly good.

It really depends on what you're after. All the reviews I've seen say they're excellent.

Lightweight bass due to the lack of sound isolation and poor noise cancellation.

If heavy bass and noise cancellation are very important, then these wouldn't be the best. The reviews I've seen say the fit is very comfortable, they're discreet, they stay in your ear, and have well-balanced sound (i.e. not thumping bass).

That's one review. Here are other reviews:

      - An unconventional design turns out to be a winner
      - Lengthy battery life
      - Powerful, balanced sound
      - Turns out, they slot into the concha of my ears quite naturally — the bean design works! — and are both comfortable and stable once there.
      - Taken as a whole package, the Galaxy Buds Live exceeded what I came in expecting based on the leaks and the uncertainty I had about what the bean shape would mean for comfort and sound quality. Neither wound up being a concern after actually using them. If you’re okay living with a healthy dose of outside sound when listening to the Galaxy Buds Live, there’s a lot to like.

The Samsung Galaxy Buds Live are a baffling product: the earbuds boast noise cancelling without the crucial ability to seal to the ear. Yet, the noise cancelling actually works to some degree. Listeners who like the idea of being aware of their surroundings, and want something that makes a statement will be drawn to these earphones. They fit better than the AirPods, and include wireless charging to boot. If you aren't compelled by the Galaxy Buds Live, consider the Galaxy Buds Plus instead.

      https://www.wired.com/review/samsung-galaxy-buds-live/
Sound quality, unlike the noise-canceling tech, is on par with the AirPods Pro. They’ve got bold, energetic bass and detailed highs, with a fairly prominent scoop in the midrange to help with overall clarity. It’s certainly not the flat, audiophile-style sound you’ll get from wired in-ear monitors that cost the same price, but the Galaxy Buds Live reproduce my favorite music pretty well for wireless earbuds.
They’re intuitive to use, pair quickly, and have good audio quality. In a pinch, they’re even decent workout earbuds.

    Fee-hifi-fo-fum.

  • I think galaxy buds plus is better choice overall and hopefully these will drop in price soon as kidney beans are out now.

  • +1

    They are called mystic bronze.

Also, you are better off getting off samsung Epp if you are ordering anything over $350.

    Sound quality is okish.
Good bass but not a great ANC.

Sometimes it hurts your ear as well.
I find my one if its about to fall off sometimes.

Galaxy bud or bud plus had a great grip I think.

Didnt find any connection issues thou.

The thing that I really didnt like is the fact when you are putting it back in the case.
Its wrong way around or on the wrong spot

  • Anyone know if there are any good hearing aid software available for android that would work with these?

Trying to find a "trial" device for my father whos sure he doesnt need hearing help, but absolutely does.

Want him to hear whats missing.

I thought with these not 'sealing' might give a more realistic expectation.

    • Do you mean something like this?
There will always be some latency with Bluetooth earphones though.

      • Ill give it a shot.

I was hoping for one that does the little hearing test built in (they exist on iphone), but anything might help highlight how much better life COULD be for him.

  • Force patina?

  • I haven't checked but if you have a edu account these were (I assume still are) $223 from the Samsung Education Store with free shipping

    • That was a pre-order deal, they're now $255.20 for all colours.

    • You can use $50 sub voucher if you spend over $350.

  • +1

    looks like kidneys

    • …hearing-aid color.

  • +1

I think people get confused what the market is for these. These ear buds are designed to let you talk to people and hear the outside world whilst wearing them and is its main advantage. Air Pods Pro or Galaxy Buds + have a sealed design which makes isolation their main advantage. And choosing which you want really just depends on how you use your earphones and what you want out of them.

For me the Galaxy Buds Live are perfect for being receptive to people trying to communicate with you either in your vicinity or online which is all the time, and it allows me to be responsive. If I wanted the opposite I would have gone for the Air Pods Pro or Galaxy Buds Plus+.

Noted the ANC is hard to notice and only covers some range of bass tones which you can still hear, just quieter - but again that plays into its main advantage which is to communicate whilst wearing them as vocal tones are unaffected.

  • Would JB or OW price match this?

    • Yes, JB price matched Amazon!
