Autoglym Ultimate Polar 4pc Kit $139.95 Delivered @ Sparesbox

160

Daily deals from Sparesbox for its birthday.
$139.95 including shipping which is cheaper than $165.17 from the 30% off promotion at Repco.
5% cashback from Cash Rewards.

I don't think the Polar Seal is as good as other ceramic-based sealants from Turtle Wax or Meguair's. But it is more convenient to use I guess as you can use a spray gun to apply.

The Polar Seal is excellent stuff. As soon as you spray it you can see the beads start to roll off the car. I use the Turtle Wax Seal n Shine, with Polar Seal as a top up every 2-3 washes. Auto Glym is cheaper than Bowden's but just as good, this is good value for what you get.

Autoglym Polar Seal or Bowden's Own - Happy Ending

They both seem to do the same thing - wonder if anyone has tried both products can provide some feedback?

    • What is the frequency of your washes?

        Every 2 weeks

  • I am in need of more polar wash and seen this and very tempted. Could use a 4th snow cannon.

Good price to pickup some consumables and a snow foam lance at the same time.
For those who don't know, you need a Karcher or similar high pressure washer for the lance to work.
I have been using their wash and blast products and have been happy with it.

Hopefully its stuff that's in stock as most of my sparesbox orders have taken quite some time (weeks) to arrive even before COVID delays were introduced.

  • You can also get all the parts in this kit at Supercheap Auto at the moment for $153.26.

If you use 8% off supercheap gift cards from Suncorp, it will bring the price down to $141. You will then be able to pick up locally and not have to risk Sparesbox's horrendous delivery times. Although they have been ok with deliveries lately. It really depends on what parts they have in stock.

Would avoid sparesbox even if cheap. Never have stock. I thought buying through their Ebay store might help but boy was I wrong. Last time was over 4 weeks from Ebay with 10+ items “in stock”.
