    See Durdart's link, click through photos and should self explain.

    Lock in saw, put edge on edge of the material then slide out to desired length. Pull back to start and hold edge to edge as you push it the length of the board

    It's a guide for circular saws so you can cut a straight edge. An alternative to buying a tracksaw

      Ah, to cut the panel board? I think I seen one at Bunnings' timber section where they were able to help customers with cutting panel board.

        Yes, but Bunnings will only do straight cuts, not angled by the edge.

        They will also not cut yellowtongue board and some places will not do MDF either, nor will they do small cuts, due to OHS policy.

        Essentially, you're left with chipboard and plywood to deal with, and the pieces have to be larger than 600mm

  Kreg tools are fantastic in particular the pocket hole jigs. They really do make home projects a lot easier but it can get a little expensive when you start factoring in clamps and the many other accessories that are available.

  I have a lot of Kreg jigs but not this one and I missed out. Looks light ill continue using two clamps and a straight edge for a while longer
