A bargain in anyone's language.
Nope. As you are well aware from seeing jv's comment.
Yes but please check the reply to JV for evidence to the contrary.
Do the checker and chess pieces have felt on the bottom?
$10 is the highest price they have sold this.
It's been on sale for $8 in the past.
$10 is not a bargain… There is no saving.

.. He's actually right for once.
Yes but it's a shame you're wrong however.
$8 December 2018. $8 December 2019. I might wait for another 3 1/2 months and see what happens. I've played one game of chess in the past 30 years so I don't feel any urgency. Although, for something that isn't made of plastic and cardboard, $10 is a damn good price.
I might wait for another 3 1/2 months
That's a 20% saving in 3 months… Way better than a Term deposit.
Hmmm… Still $10.
I think the OzBargain Elders are still debating what the definition of a bargain even is.
We're getting there, it ain't easy ;)
Better than the kmart one? Reviews say the cover doesnt match the actual chessboard (with orange squares)
https://www.kmart.com.au/product/wooden-chess-and-draughts-g…
The biggest difference seems to be the colour of the black pieces. The Kmart version are black whereas the Target version are dark brown. I'm not going to say which one I prefer as that would be interpreted as casual racism by some people on this site. I wish they'd mention the size of the board.
Dang I really want to know which one you prefer :(
Once you go <undisclosed colour chess pieces> …

Grabbed one.
Don’t buy it. Only the board is wooden.
hard to tell. can you confirm that please?
I can confirm everything is wooden, just very light weight though, easy to knock over, we put blu tac on the bottom of each individual pieces to stop from moving…
Different batches use different materials? I bought it and returned it because the pieces are made of plastic.
This is certainly loooooong running. Only 19 upvotes and on the front page again, pretty weird. The algorithm is certain this is still being sold?
This is the standard price for this product. It's actually exceptional quality for $10. I am very impressed with the set I purchased.
