Wow, that was quick.
Just a head up
For galaxy note 9 you dont need a dex station dock. I dont use dex that often but whenever I connect my phone and pc, it automatically connects as a dex desktop with usb type c to usb type c cable. So doesn't need any station for note 9.Its on all devices since s8 and above, my s8 opens dex desktop when I connect a usb-c monitor or any usb-c dock for that matter (like a that I use for macbook)
the problem is, it doesn't support QHD unless you have a genuine dex dock. I only see 1080p as an option.
I'm not sure if it supports 4K. Maybe not.
I have the successor to this, the Dex pad which I use with my Note9.
One thing that people always forget when they say you can just use a generic USB C to HDMI adapter is that Samsung caps the generic adapters at 1920×1080. I think this is due to overheating concerns, the official Samsung adapters have a fan in them. I have tried many adapters and cannot get above 1920x1080 resolution.
Using my Dex pad, I connect it to my ultrawide monitor and it runs at 3440x1440 native.
I'm actually glad its OOS. Don't have to make the decision to give money to Gerry
Haha, I know that feeling..
Especially after him bragging about his bumper year
Can it be used as usb hub with laptop?
I'm 99.9% sure that it won't work as a hub on your laptop.
The USB ports works be for a keyboard or a mouse.
Dex pad is $149
