  • I got these from the last deal. Recommended. A great deal at this price!

For those looking to add a mic, it works perfectly with the V-Mode BoomPro. I added one of these to use the X2HRs for PS4 gaming and Zoom calls.

  • I can see shipping charges ?

    • +1

Free Delivery with Amazon Prime for me.

      • What @dkausa said, free with Prime. I almost clicked “Place Order”, so can confirm.

    • 23.09 for me

  • I almost clicked “Place Order” at this price. In final moment checked “SHP9500 vs X2HR” on Rtings, saved $190. Though these are a bit better in bass than 9500, spending $190 isn’t justifiable I think.

    • +1

I have both and my X2 is more comfortable personally worth for 190 dollars. Although SHP9500 modded with some hm5 foam pads isn't bad either but personally like X2 better.

You can hear the difference, is not like just better bass at least for my ears.

    • +1

You're losing a lot of detail and getting some even bigger issues in the highs.

SHP 9600 also just launched in China.

    • +2

I had the 9500, and have the x2. In absolute terms, the x2s are better, generally. In terms of value the 9500 absolutely crushes it. I really loved the 9500. Cheap and cheerful, even if not perfect. The x2 is also not perfect. And it wasn't cheap =(

People love the x2, but it wasn't for me.

  • Any first hand experiences on both these and K712?

    • +1

      2 diff headphones
K712 wide soundstage , suitable for classical instru etc , more balanced than fun.

X2HR - slight tilt to bass , good for Pop, EDM , soundstage not as wide.

      Rock music both are good.

  • The Fidelio X3 is to be released next month.

    • +1

Sure is releasing - for $450-500.

    • And the SHP 9600's too. I'll be looking forward to that

      • Yeah, the SHP9600 seem interesting. X3 probs be my upgrade in future once my X2 dies or depending how reviews goes.

      • Already available via AliE.

    • ooh looks nice. The pads don't look like they will be dust magnets which is a plus. I just hope they worked on reducing its weight.

  • Thanks. As an owner of many pairs of closed back mid-fi cans, these were on my list as my 1st open back option (when they were the right price, Aus Amazon pricing is frequently laughable).

  • +1

thanks so much OP! Have been looking out for a deal for months!!!! Bought 1!!! :)

BTW bought this to compliment with my Hifiman 400i…

  • Can you drive these with a samsung s9 phone?

  • +2

Guess I missed out, price up to $423.49

    • Geeze that was short lived.

  • Mine arrived today. Very impressed, I have bought a dozen headphones over the last 2 years, all bargains or 2nd hand. These are my first open back and they are spot on to my taste.
