Just spotted this in the new Repco catalogue. Seems like a decent deal depending on the quality. According to the product page it has a metal pump. 12 Month warranty. The model under it, the MPBPW6 is more expensive at $149.

Looks very tempting… anyone have any experience? Or is this a cheapo pressure washer that'll fail quickly?
Avoid it, it'd be a waste of money.
Mechpro is a Repco's cheap and nasty Chinese made brand, much like Ozito is to Bunnings.
True but I wouldn't generalise. Sure may not be ideal for a regular user or a professional but it would be perfectly fit for purpose for an avg household user. I have lots of ozito stuff that are perfectly fine for my needs. Also have some dewalt tools where higher quality is needed. I'm always a bit dubious when ppl on the internet tell me to avoid something based on their use case only.
Do you have any actual experience or is it purely based on xenophobia?
If it's the former, it's obviously valid, forever if it's purely based on its country of origin, then it's a pointless argument.Based on my country of origin I feel like I am able to comment on that.
Did you just assume my race?
@adamshere: From that reply, I figure that you have no experience with the product and are just making up crap.
Whatever race you are is irrelevant to me.
My thoughts exactly. Seems like decent specs but the 12 month warranty isn't exciting me.
Yeah that's what I figured. Ugh.
Don't be fooled by that 7.5lpm figure - that's peak. In the manual it states the "working pressure" as 6lpm.
The Ozito is cheaper https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/560135.
This one is mostly sold out everywhere
Used a pressure washer first time last week not this one and man it felt so good but yeah the water usage is insane makes all your tiny water savings around the house feel useless sometimes but they always of course still help.. Fun job honestly but I assume the professionals are more efficient with the water usage.
Might inspire me to try more physical jobs as using tools is fun.
You sure it's using more water than a standard garden hose? I always thought it's the exact opposite.
I mean it is probably the same but still you can clean a wall with a bucket of water or use one of these.
Some things don't come off with just a heavy duty brush and a bucket of water but the difference in water use is something to think about.
Anyone know what these are like compared to Aldi ones?
going back to name brands for me. I only use mine to wash cars and my MechPro (Albeit last gen) pressure washer struggled holding pressure in 18 months.
The plastic parts that connect mains water to the machine was also made of really soft plastic and threaded at the 6 months mark
I bought it on Thursday, I've used it for a couple of hours to do my pavement. Powerful enough for my needs, Pretty pleased with it, no complaints yet. Longevity? Who knows 🤷♂️
Do you know if this has aluminium or plastic pump?
says metal in description
"The product is made from high quality materials and some of the features include : metal pumps, durable wheels for easy manoeuvring, built-in mesh water filter, extendable carry handle, metal pumps and more."
I believe the manual says it has metal or aluminium pump.
1 year warranty is a let down
Is this better than the Bosch High Pressure Washer UniversalAquatak 125 (1820 PSI)
