Vodafone vs Telstra
It's Vodafone :/
I've been Lebara for about 3 years now. Very happy with the value and coverage (I live near the city).
Same here. 2 years. Inner Sydney.
By when do i have to activate the sim?
Lebara, once popular for these deals, now again coming up with good offers.
I was with them for 1 year, when they gave 20GB/month for $99 180-day plans.
Got 240GB for $198 back then.iirc years ago, when they sold the plans as recharge vouchers (online sim kit was: free sim + e-mailed recharge voucher numbers) they needed to be redeemed within 60 days.
It could have changed now so best to as the chat rep.
Great deal for international callers.
I wonder if these can be used for recharges? We've been using Lebara for approaching 2 years now and would happily renew if the deal was right.
There was often a Lebara rep who commented on these kind of deals.
I realise that the old $150 Boost deal is still just about available but Vodafone is fine for us locally and destroys Telstra (170M download speeds Vs 10M) and coverage adequate for our purposes. The overseas calls are essential for both of us so that narrows choice down.
Recharge is available through my lebara login at same price (I did my recharge today)
Thanks…
If your databank has lots of data, you might be best to go for a small plan, as the max you can carry over is 200gb iirc.
Is this for new sim only or for recharges as well?
recharge via my lebara (link added) updated
do you know if my existing data bank will carry over into these new plans?
was on National Plan 6, now on Small 180 and this is Medium 360
yes it will carry over in total upto 200gb. I'm on extra small plan with 200gb data in the back at the moment.
Vodafone network is rubbish in Queensland so not an option for me
Queensland
Area: 1.853 million kmĀ²Hmm.
That's a bad generalisation. I've used them in Brisbane and no worries at all.
According to the live chat, this deal expires on the 31st of August, and the vouchers are valid for 90 days from the date of purchase
Is this availabe for new customers?
yes
Talks of Boost's new plan being $200 for 1 year with 85GB data. Pity that it will be revealed only by 01-Sep-2020. If that's true then this Lebara $200 Medium plan with 170GB data and International Calls to 30 countries is the best value. Again, shame that this expires 31-Aug-2020.
Lebara should extend this till 30-Sep-2020, they would certainly see a jump in new customers (people who would have otherwise 'ported' to Boost)
Is Lebara any good? Better than Boost?
