Local Amazon stock so should be quicker than buying from Amazon US via Amazon AU. Might be the lowest price on Amazon AU for this CPU. Or you can buy it for $449.31 from Amazon US

Local pricing has always been more expensive than from Amazon US. But for this you don't need Prime and it should arrive a lot quicker if you're willing to spend $40 more.
It's been $420-440 in AU before, check the product listing on this website.
Once you factor in exchange rates and GST, this is 3% off US launch pricing.
Yes, downvote me for verifiable information that's correct: way to use the website correctly.
@jasswolf: What?
@WinstonWithAY: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/541220
Still wrong.
@jasswolf: I mean that's why I said might. Amazon AU pricing is almost always more expensive than Amazon US pricing at one point in time.
@WinstonWithAY: You edited your comment to me, I was replying to that. I'm not going to downvote this because local prices are a bit insane right now, but you really don't need to talk up the deal so much.
This is genuinely just the 3% below launch MSRP, and AU prices are above MSRP right now. I'd imagine stock is low and everyone is waiting for a shipment to come in.
@jasswolf: Yeah the reason I edited it was because it was wrong. Why would you respond to that? And I'm not talking it up.
Great price and CPU
Btw lowest it's been lately was $447.01 on Amazon US via AU.Derp - read things properly. NM
Better than the $522 I paid 3 weeks ago.
Maybe contact Amazon and ask them to refund the price difference?
They will probably say no, easiest thing would be to order another at this lower price and then return the old one, but just return the new one.
True.. but normally if you chat with customer care they are pretty good.
@vash5: I've never had them match a lower price after shipping. They have always offered what noodles said above , buy new and return old.
@PlagueistheCheap: Yeah I haven't also asked them myself once i have already brought something. Guess I'm just going off past customer service experience and that its been quite flexible.
Having said that, it would actually cost the company more money to send out a new one rather than partial refund.
Depends if its supplied and shipped by amazon as well I think.
If you are within the 30 day return policy just reach out to customer care and say.. hey I got this 3 weeks ago, I can see price has dropped quite a bit. Rather than buying a new one and returning this one so I can get it at a much better price, do you think you can help me out and refund me the difference?
Wose case they say no and you get the new one.
Side note. If you get a rep called "Vyshnavi", leave the chat. Spoke with her yesterday and she was terrible!! Had to contact customer care again because of the duck ups she did and next person was fantastic, helpful and even sent some promo credit my way for the inconvenience.
Yeah and if that doesn't work you can always try their email or phone support
This has happened to me on several occasions. Rather than asking for a refund, I just ask for credit instead and they've given it to me a few times with no questions asked. Makes my prime membership worth every dollar haha.
Wasn't this 440 a few days ago?
Edit; NM, read the description properly
I bought the one from Amazon US on the 13 of August and it still hasn't shipped and I actually bought this cpu YESTERDAY and just got it today.
Cancelled the one from Amazon US. Wasn't worth saving the measly $40 to save on 1 month delivery wait.
I actually bought some other things including an AIO in the US as well and that shipped and arrived faster than this order for the CPU at Amazon US
When I click through it's $449.31, did the price change? edit: Oh I see, it's taking me to the US one.
Wow, local pricing is trash. Guess it'll improve through October.
