Bamboo knife block on clearance at Target. Pretty sure these sold at $20 or more previously. Can't find any longer on the Target website.
Remembered this item being mentioned in a Global Knife post about users preferring to store their knives in the drawer rather than on the kitchen top. Could probably fit two blocks in a drawer.
I’m guessing someone's stolen the knives.

how are you going to find the right knives to fit the slots
All knives fit. Each slot is the same size

If you fit two blocks in a drawer, that means it could store 10 knives. In my kitchen, a drawer needs to hold so much more than that.
So… sharp blade facing down? Doesn't that blunt the blade?
Yes it has increased chance of dulling the knife. You could line the inside with paper or foam
it’s made of wood, it’s no different to using a wooden chopping board to cut. all knives dull eventually with use, just place it in the inserts as opposed to dropping it in there. IMO, this is a much better way of storing knives than a knife block as you’re less likely to damage the tips of your knives, although this Target version wastes a lot of potential knife space unlike some of the other inserts I’ve seen, which can fit double the knives in the same amount of area
