  • Wow just checked the 'Invoices' tab on my Woolworths account, it is completely wrong. The $20 bundle was completely out of stock but the other two are apparently in stock. Invoice has the complete wrong prices for everything, hopefully they refund the $20, and I guess I will see what they actually have when I get in there to pick it up.

    So on the Sauvi Blanc they substituted 4 bottles of the lower priced Koa for te rua bay. At least I did receive 14 bottles + 4 koa for $31 (damn that $1 bagging charge).

    BUT, in a separate order for various barossa and premium wines, they were unable to supply 16 bottles of the higher priced various wines they valued at $203. I paid $171 for $528. I am awaiting my refund of $203 after spending $171. If this happens it will be a sweet bargain :)

    Oddly it still shows as an open order too. Perhaps I can cancel and get a refund of the $171 I spent.

        Just contacted WW regarding the lack of a refund. The call centre guy said WW had just today (2 Sept) issued a direction regarding managing refunds.
        WW are doing is a full refund electronically and asking you to kindly return any remaining stock, noting that they cannot police the returns. I paid by gift card so they have send out a $171 discount code.
        It does not matter whether the refund is for 1 bottle or 20 bottles. its a full refund.

    Had to explain to the store manager what happened as she said most people collect from BWS!

  • I ordered last night, got a confirmation this morning my order was ready for collection. Drove to Woolworths to pick up, order wasn't ready, pretty much everything was out of stock except 3 bottles (out of the 9 cases I ordered). So they were going to give me those and refund the difference, but the price being charged was the per bottle price so 3 bottles were going to cost me almost half the price of 9 cases! So I declined and just getting a refund for my whole order. If they rejected my order straight up I think I wouldn't be so annoyed, but pretty angry I've had to drive there and then wait for like 40 minutes while they tried to sort out the order. To their credit, in store staff were all very friendly and helpful.

  • Sounds like I got lucky, just picked up all 16 bottles in my order from Woolies Eastland (Vic). Invoice was definitely a bit weird but the wine is now in my house so it’s happy days.

  • I order two experience the barossa bundles for $30. I received 7/12 bottles, and it looks like they've made some odd calculations on the invoice for substitutions. Hopefully I'll get a refund of $12.50 !!

    Wife went and only picked up 8 X Krondorf ($9.12 per bottle on the invoice ) and 4 X William light ($19.21 per bottle on the invoice).
    Will they refund me the missing 6 bottle? and how much?
    The prices are bit bizarre as well. On their website shows $40 for William light and $19 for Krondorf.

    Thanks, this is why I love Ozbargain. Picked up 12 whites and 6 reds for $41.00. Should've been $231.48 including the reusable bag. Was further impressed that they'd substituted 5 of the sold out Wither Hills Sauvignon Blancs ($10.30) with Giesen Sauvignon Blancs ($16.00). Calculated I received $190.48 total discount or an 82.2% discount. BWS staff member super impressed, took a photo of my invoice which I volunteered to show her, she congratulated me and sent me to woolworths next door to collect

  • I order cancelled one I got 8/12 for $30. I feel a tad ripped off but given the prices I, really, can’t complain. It would’ve been nice to give me 4 alternate wines to make the dozen.

    I would be pretty annoyed if Woolworths did this with a standard order though.

      I left a feedback message on this. I don't expect it to go anywhere but it is a tad wrong to fail to deliver part of an order and there is no compensation associated with it; it sets a bad precedent. I won't be to annoyed if it comes to nothing as it was a great deal and I, at least, got a few out of it.

  • Picked up 36/48 this morning from Murray St Woollies. Bloke at the BWS said they received over 30 orders yesterday. Luckily I picked an early pickup so was able to get most of what i ordered but looks like most who ordered after me are out of luck.

  • Order picked up successfully. Missed a 3/6 items in one bundle and refunded the whole bundle, so basically 3 free bottles of wine.
    They missed 2/6 in the other bundle but they didn’t record it on the sheet and I didn’t realise until I arrived home. Called to do a missing product request and will see if they do the same and refund the whole bundle. Could possibly refund the for the price of the bottles, which would cost more than the bundle (~$25)…….

    I ordered 2 bundles, when I went to collect, they handed me 2 bottles at full price. Was not impressed, but didn’t have time to stick around and ask for a refund, as was on my lunch break. Lesson learned I guess, if it seems too good to be true, then it probably is.

      So you paid the order in full and they still asked you to pay for 2 bottles at full price?

      • No, they gave me two bottles at full price, which amounted to $38.50. The total for the 2 bundles would have been $43. I am apparently being given a $4.50 refund.

    • As far as I know, default option is set as 'offer alternative' if you had not chosen 'not to substitute'. You can choose among not substitute all/partially substitute/substitute all while you place an order.

  • Ordered 32 got 6 (6x te rua bay sauvignon blanc) in Sydney.
    Had to call them up to fix up the refund, but they ended up refunding everything for some reason.

      • Called on 1800000610. I think was option 4 or 5, something about existing orders. There was about 5minute wait which wasn't too bad.

        yep they refunded via PayPal. Got the PayPal refund notice email as well.

    Its good a lot of you got the deal .
    For me it felt like every order I picked up the last week it was a pure bonus and have been very surprised no one inside Woolies has woken up .
    I would to think Woolies was doing something kind to reward there members but no doubt it is a price error .
    Still they have be kind enough to fill most of the early orders and for that I am thankful .

    Unfortunately the giant is awake and I should have stated : Max is 3 of each bundle and I recommend Click and Collect ASAP

  • i went to pick up my order, unfortunately 90% of it was OOS, the 2 bottles i got that was in a bundle, they charged me full price?! didnt realise till i got home.
    ill give them a call.

    Got 3 x Wither Hills, 3 x William Light and a single Krondorf. No sign of any refund.

    Picked up at 12 and was annoyed I didn't come at 9am, as would have got more.
    But then realised at least others got a chance to grab some.

  • Got a confirmation and went to pick up my 2x bundles (12 bottles for $30 total) and find they only had 3 bottles in stock and charged me $30 anyway! It's still cheaper than retail, but no thanks, I got a refund.

  • I got 3 bundles at $20 each, got 14 out of 18 bottles. Paid in rewards dollars so buggered if I know how or if the refund will take place.

  • My pick up window was supposed to be 10-11am, no confirmation so after waiting until 12:30 I decided to drive there and see what was going on. They claimed there was some glitch affecting dispatch of orders but sounded like an excuse and they were slow rolling dispatching. By that time I only got 7 out of my 12 bottle order filled. Pretty disappointed I that didn't rock up at 11am but was trying to be considerate of the staff there.

    Let's hope Woolworths will stick to their groceries and leave the alcohol business to BWS after this error. I see a lot of potential addicts, myself included.

  • Got the 2 cases I ordered last night via C&C. All was what I wanted. For 4 bottles they ran out of 750ml, so replaced that with 2 1.5l of the same wine

    I initially ordered to pick up 12-1pm but realised I should have done it earlier cos they would prioritise it first. Luckily they allow changing the order so I picked the earliest time slot. Worked out well. I also unticked substitute

  • Well this is interesting…. my delivery order for 30 bottles (2 x 12 red, 1 x 6 white) just updated from being hung since early morning as "Preparing your order" to "Order on it's way".

      • They delivered 7 out of 30 and the invoice pricing was a mess… the charge to be refunded for unavailable for 23 was way LESS than the charge they want to hit me for 7 they had. I refused to accept delivery, then called them up and got a full refund.

  • Very happy with my pick-up just now. 3 bundles, 18 bottles total, all in stock with only a couple of bottles of a different vintage in the mix.

    My local had plenty of whites but low stock of the reds, I placed a second order with another store for those. Wish I'd scheduled pick-up today, not tomorrow though. Unlikely there will be stock. Guess I'll be mostly drinking whites this coming summer …
