  • Does anyone know if deliveries come from local stores or a DC?

    • Must surely be a DC. None of my locals showed stock which is why i had to select delivery.

  • Bought 4 bundles I bought (3 x white, 1 x red), order was 'ready to collect'. Go to pickup and they only give me ONE bottle of white. Got a refund for $39 so they charged me full price for the bottle they can provide.

    My order says to refund what they can't supply… if they can't supply the bundle, it should have all been refunded.

    For the single bottle where I was charged in full, was told "no I can't refund you, go speak to someone else". Wow lady, sorry for being a nuisance in your day.

    • That's BS, of course you can refund. I got cash refund even though I paid electronically.

  • Had both orders cancelled by SMS at 2:18PM for 2-3PM Pickup from Melbourne QV. Full refund incoming apparently.

  • File a chargeback with your credit card provider if the vendor refuses to refund you for items they cannot supply

    For anyone wondering, I called up and asked about getting a refund where the order was only partially fulfilled.

    They referred to this "wine bundle thing" as an "all day issue" and that someone in IT is working on how the refunds will work, but this is up in the air at this stage. Said perhaps an email will go out to affected customers but is not sure.

    Suggested to call back maybe tomorrow or the day after, let's see how it goes.

        Must be some marketing douchebag stuffed up and as usual it becomes an IT problem in the end.

    • I just got notified that my order is ready for collection. I checked the invoice before heading to the store and I noticed that 'only' 20 bottles out of 54 were supplied. No substitutes. However no refund was issued.

      I called the customer service and was told pretty much the same: IT is on it and they will be in touch with every client who purchased the bundles to discuss their refund options.

      To avoid being overcharged I requested to change the collection time to the latest slot tomorrow (6-7 pm), hoping that I will get the expected and correct refund issued before then.

  • I ordered 2 wine bundles plus some groceries to be delivered today. Sadly I got an out of stock notice for the 2 wine bundles which they removed from the cost.

  • Picked up 30 bottles without any issue. Everything was exactly what I ordered.

  • Tried PayPal initially last night, order process gave an error and didn't go through but the PayPal payment did! So I used my credit card to confirm the order, and then filed a PayPal claim, which was confirmed in my favour before I even went to pick up the wine this morning.

    Picked up 18 bottles of wine out of 18 ordered this morning; 2 of the Sav Blanc got replaced with another NZ "equivalent" that were normally twice as expensive so can't complain at all.

    My delivery order just arrived….. 7 out of 30! Charge for the 7 was $78.50 yet the 23 missing was only $36? Gotta laugh. They really have some numpties in their IT/Billing department.

    I refused to accept the delivery. Now on the phone to woollies to get a full refund back on my gift cards. The girl on the phone seems quite familiar with the ordeal. Ah well, was worth a try.

    • This is why I did not rush to collect my order and changed it for collection tomorrow instead. I want to see the correct refund first.

        OK so they issued me with a refund of $92.50 supposedly that will come via credit note/gift card, yet the original charge deducted from my gift cards was $94. They are saying the original charge is wrong/tentative and will correctly reflect within a few days. We'll see. Woollies are a mess. Feel sorry for the poor buggers on telephone support, the clowns behind the scenes are the issue.

  • Picked up 22 bottles in Vic this morning.
    2 x sav deal, 1 x premium and 1 x shiraz deal.
    $62 total, showing $277.98 on receipt, yet value on BWS website is much higher, as Clare Valley is $19.21 on invoice and $40 on BWS website.

    Substituted vintage year from 2018 to 2017 on one wine, all others fulfilled. Couple of people collecting wine at 10.30am, nothing else in the trolley. OzB community is strong!

      They just cancelled mine too. Pickup time was 5pm at Doncaster Westfield store

    Good luck to those who got this deal. I wish they substituted for my missing ones like some people got, I am guessing it depends on the individual store whether they sub or not because my store was saying this deal is too good and it must be a pricing error and wouldn't sub…well yes that's true but my order went through so you should fulfill it like any other order!

  • Can't we just go back in store in a few days once stock is replenished? Then unfulfilled orders can be well, fulfilled?

    • Did you also get a refund? They send the refund too just after the cancellation text.

      • Yes, paid by egiftcard and got some stupid coupon that I can only use on woolworths online.

        Its so stupid that on the website it says "Ready to Pick-up", but I receive an email saying it's out of stock.

    Was 2 hours late to my pickup window, but got all of the original order of 3 bundles/16 bottles no problemo

    Guy in front of me also on a wine order and carried it all in a massive duffel bag, amazing

  • Ordered 24 (4 bundles) got 21 with 3 substitues of a higher value. Was told they will sort out the refund in the next couple of days.
    They also double charged me, tried to pay with paypal, but it timed out (probly being ozbargained) and message said unsuccessful and to use another payment method, I then paid with CC, and guess what the paypal payment did go through..

    • I lodged a PayPal dispute for this straight away (didn't bother contacting Woolworths first), got confirmed in my favour by morning.

        • update - was sent a $20 gift card for the payment issue, which was resolved anyway… Good Result.. :-)

  • Ordered 12, got 2, + the unrelated item that I ordered to meet the cost. Paid $31.
    The value of the items I received was altered to equal $42, so on paper to untrained observe it looks like I got an $11 discount on 2 bottles of wine I would not have otherwise bought, however they come out to $12.50/bottle instead of the $1.87/bottle that was advertised.

    Was told to wait for a refund email that will come out later in the week. Was worth a shot I guess.

  • Ordered a total of 26 bottles for $94, when I went to pick up I was provided 7/26 bottles. With the only refund noted as $4.80. What do you suggest I do in regards to obtaining a proper refund? I paid via PayPal. Any help is greatly appreciated. TIA

    • Contact Woolworths and give them some time to fix the issue. If they fail to do so lodge a case with PayPal.

      Raise a dispute via PayPal. I did.

      • Cheers mate, raised a dispute stating I only got x% of what I had ordered and that I deserve a refund of x% totaling $x. They refunded me what I requested no issues. So in the end it worked out that I recieved 7 bottles of $20 (Dan Murphys Pricing) wine for $30total. All in all a pretty happy camper, however it would have been nice to score big like some of the others have :)

  • 6pm pickup, had no problem with the two bundles of white I order today for Woden. I have two bundles of red to pick up tomorrow same time, but that may be a piss poor decision yet, I just wanted an excuse to swing around the shopping center again this week.

  • Successfully picked up all 4 bundles (24 bottles) from my local Woolworths. WW lady at the pickup said that it’s a very good deal. Wine sorted for a while now :).

    4 bottles for 30 doesn’t have the same ring to it as 12 bottles for 30!

    Mine were delivered. Half of them got substituted for more expensive bottles too, and then seem to have thrown in an extra bottle for the trouble. $441.96 worth for $100 (half using gift cards).

    • Be mindful the order may be partial and if it is, check the receipt before you accept it!! They attempted to deliver 7 out of 30 to me today (and charge me bulk of my order charge for those 7, despite 23 missing). I declined to accept the delivery.

    • Email through this morning saying some bundles not available, which is fine, but no idea how they are calculating the refund amount. Will see what’s in the delivery and then calculate the actual amount before calling them to get it sorted.

      Anytime had issues getting the proper refund for what they received vs ordered?

    The staff was confused by the invoice with partial fulfillment!

      I tried my luck with a delivery order for 16 bottles for tomorrow, but no word from them yet. Plus my local didn't seem to have the cheaper price so I had to pick a pickup location further away then change to delivery to get the price. Waiting for the outcome.

      Win/win because I really need to go on a diet.

      • My local didn’t do it so went to go for another one about 10km away and it worked just a whole heap were showing as unavailable.

        Hedged my bets and stacked a delivery order. Got lucky I suppose.

    Thanks so much OP! You've essential just supplied the wine for my wedding next year (hopefully), and then some, for about 20 percent of what it's worth. About 90 percent of my order got filled, with some of that swapped out (mostly substituted for good , but a few trash ones thrown in too, but who can complain!).

  • Big fail unfortunately for me in VIC. 2 orders totaling $293 with 102 bottles total ($2.87 per bottle). On pickup was offered 14 bottles with a refund of only $122 at full price which equals $12.21 per bottle. Told them this is not what I ordered and refused pickup. Now awaiting refund :(

      Ordering 102 bottles is a big gamble.

      I think you would've had much better luck ordering a more 'reasonable' amount

      • True enough but was a good chance to stock up supplies if pulled off. I would have been content if they offered some of the bundles rather than trying to charge full price for individual bottles.

  • Well I had fun: my 16 bottles were all cancelled. The good news is they were able to fulfill the tofu I also ordered to bump up to the $50 minimum delivery value. 🙃

    How do I get a full refund? What a mess.

    • In my case my credit card hadn’t been charged for the order they cancelled.
