Another day, another Wera deal! You don't need it but you know you want it. Fathers Day and Christmas is coming up too!

This set is $46 at Bunnings. They've taken all their Wera products off their website so I can't link to it.
There are two versions, 2035/6 A and B. The difference is slightly different flat blade sizes.

2035/6 A
2035/6 B

There's also this 12-piece set with a nice pouch for $47.40.

Other notable deals:

That above set looks like a generic OEM set. If you are not that fussed on the finish of your tools and only use it once in a while, just get the set you mentioned.
In fact it looks almost like the old iFixit set they use to sell before they upgraded the range.

If youre looking for quality and kit that might last you a life time. Then get the Wera 12 piece set to cover the torx type as well.

Alternatively if you have a bit to spend then look for better pricing on the Wiha Pico Finish sets. I found their tips were good as if not better and handles were much nicer than Wera Micro/ESD and PB swiss ESD ranges.

Can't speak for the Rimposky brand you listed but Wera make excellent trade quality tools. I have many sets from Wera that I'm very happy with.

If the tips really are as hard as they state (52-56HRC) and you're not going to use them often, it's probably fine.

I'm not a big fan of sets that are too cheap as they tend to be made of soft metal. They'll wear out quick and you can end up with chewed-up screw heads if you're not careful.

If you want a whole set like that, this Xiaomi Wiha set is good. The bits are S2 tool steel which should be about 55HRC. They've been here on OzB quite a few times.

Do keep in mind if your screws are recessed, you might not be able to reach them with a swappable-tip screwdriver. That's when a long-shaft set like the Wera comes in handy.

This is the PH set you will find most useful in Aus.

Whoops, I should have looked harder. That's definitely more useful here!

    • No wonder.. I was like WTH is this PZ and SQUARE bit….

    • The chisel set or the SK/6?

  • This looks like a decent deal as well.

Much more of a Wiha fan but this is an excellent price. Both Wiha and Wera are miles above other brands. Once you stop cheaping
out on screwdrivers you’ll never go back.

I tried so hard to remove an old screw on a motorcycle once with a few regular brand drivers and got so sick of it I went and bought a Wiha set and it came straight out with minimal effort. Even after I had started to round the head with the other drivers.

So true. Reminds me of the time I had to drill a hole through a steel plate and all I had were cheap drill bits. It just wouldn't go through. Picked up a Sutton bit and it went like a hot knife through butter!

  • Any regular sets that come in cases that are good? Most seem to be generic brands .
