I would say so. Bought Manfrotto 190 MT190XPRO3 a couple of weeks ago @ $330. That has price dropped too! Needless to say, I will be returning that tripod for this upgrade.

What head will you be choosing?
Have an old Manfrotto 054 Magnesium Ball Head still in box that I’ll be dusting off to pair up with.

I've got a carbon 190Go to travel light weight but this one is step up and an excellent choice as long as am driving a car and I can chuck it in the boot.
Definitely no way I would carry it 2 or 3 kilometers uphill.
This is cheap but the question is whether or not I need another tripod!
I do. All my tripods either light carbon ones or too low and basic.
I wanted to purchase it a few years ago but it was really expensive (still is if you look outside this deal).
It also should be good for my slider.
Any recommendations for ball head?
I went the X-Pro with 220pl plate. Was looking at getting the top plate but one single YouTube review put me off it. That and I’ve got another 2 plates for the 220pl.

Favorite goto sturdy tripod, use it with the 496RC2 ball head. I gave up on carbon years ago as they fall apart with little use.
