    what the…

  • Thanks op, wife was set on getting one even at RRP, they are seeking second hand for about this much.

  • $299 May 28th 2020 according to the camel, so this could go lower

Damn that's heaps. We found a few for $100ish second hand, bought one and glad we didn't pay more. Only got to use it maybe 15 times before baby had enough of it.
Quite limited use for many, because when you need it most babies had not supported enough and when they're a bit older i don't think as useful

    • Yep. Don't last long. Buy alternative brand to get for $100 second hand. Sell for same price.

  • And here i was thinking pretty cheap for a small cotton satellite dish…

  • Is this any good? Thanks for the feedback

    • No. Dont waste money.

When they are a baby (6months) hug is what they want. Once they get older and back is strong enough, they would rather be out playing on the mat.

      Invest is a bubamat instead.

Just google searched "bubamat" to see what you're talking about and pressed images… can't imagine your kid playing on that…

Ahh shit I'm at work right now!!!

          Well, working at home.

For the people who want to find out what a bubamat is, I do/ do not recommend searching that word through images. It was too early in the morning for me personally.

        • Anyone looking for bubba mats, I bought mine from Costco for about $150, few years back. Not sure if they still have them, but worth a look!

I found our fisher price swing a godsend for the times you can’t hold the baby and don’t want them rolling around on the floor/matt. Eg. When you’re cooking dinner, cleaning the house etc. It keeps them secure, close by, entertained and comforted.

If your baby takes to it (not all will) you will find it very handy. Ours usually had the effect of dropping them quickly off to sleep too, which is a lot more convenient than putting them in a pram or car for laps around the block like a lot of parents resort to.

    • My children all loved this device, hence why I highly recommend it.

Not all children love it, I’ve seen some that absolutely love it & some hate it.

Nonetheless, this is a great buy. Used ones go for the same price, check ebay & fb market place for sold records.

  • Bought 2nd hand for $280 a couple of years ago then sold it for $180 after a year. Good thing about this is it really holds the retail value but not all bubs enjoy being on it.

Given you don’t need these long, even better to rent it. 3months rent for ~$115 and they drop off and pickup!

  • I’ll upvote because anyone who ‘must have’ this swing needs the save every cent they can. But, I will add that this much cheaper fisher price swing served our kids very well and has a couple of great features the fancy one doesn’t: battery power and the top handle for moving it around (with or without baby strapped in).

We moved it around the house a lot so I can’t imagine not having that ability (at least not easily). I reckon we only consumed one set of 4 x C cell batteries for each kid so hardly a big drawback not being mains powered.
