From the upcoming catalogue sale starting on Wednesday 19 August.
Bit unclear on the Telstra recharges as fine print says 15% instead of 10%.
Limit of 10 gift cards per customer. Limit of 5 gift cards per transaction on Catch website.

10% is not bad
Telstra yearly prepaid top-up time ??
So I have a Telstra prepaid data plan well one of the older grandfathered plans that accumulates useless credit,.. so how would one top up with 10% discount could anyone explain please?
If e.g. you want to recharge $50 for 1 year on the old Broadband Data Pass, you pay $45 to buy a $50 recharge voucher at Coles. You get a voucher code printed on the receipt. You can then use this voucher code to top up your prepaid account on My Telstra or the Telstra web site.
Can you pay for giftcards using flybuys $$ ?
Yes.
Since when? Unless you have a Coles Financial Services product …
Since you can convert points to credits from flybuy account services, choose pay with card and swipe the fly buy card to use in store.
@1-Bargain: I've never been able to use my flybuys dollars to pay for gift cards. Do you have a Coles Financial Services product like credit cards or insurance?
@kerfuffle: No. Have you used your fly buy card paying anything before? You need to convert the points and set a pin for the card. And basically your fly buy card becomes a eftpos card with the balance you chose to convert your points. I can not firm whether or not it’s allowed to purchase gift cards. But there’s no t&c it can’t be used.
No. Have you used your fly buy card paying anything before?
Yes, hence my comment … Unlike you, I have first-hand experience.
@kerfuffle: Ok. change my answer to no.
@kerfuffle: What if I include it with my general shopping ?
@Danstar: Still won't work speaking from first-hand experience, however feel free to try and let us know.
@kerfuffle: Last time OK to use flybuys$ via EFTPOS was early 2017.
NO, I have tried. The system does not allow.
I thought they had decided to stop distributing the paper catalogue.
You can still pick it up in store.
Since when?
Is this Permanent?
I second you cannot use flybys dollars in store to buy gift cards .
A getaround way is to buy Cole Myer card in other Wesfarmer stores if you are keen to use flybuys$.
Can the Catch gift cards be used to buy a Catch Connect prepaid sim deal?
Would make the $120 / 120gb year deal $108! Noice… :-)
? Looks like the answer is no going by this. "*Cannot be used for Catch Connect mobile services."
https://www.catch.com.au/product/personalised-egift-card-2/
but that's the egift card, while the coles one are physhical cards.
Good point. Rep at Catch Connect said they can't be used via their site but was unsure if the Catch site would allow it. I have messaged Catch to find out. Will let you know the reply.
@Cheeper: It'll work on catch site but not catchconnect
Reply from Catch…
Hi &&&&&, you sure can. 🙂 Catch gift-cards can be used for any items on our retail website including Catch Connect pre-paid plans. We hope this helps.
in what demonations are Catch Gift Cards available in coles?
$50 cards only, at my local.
Dont they do $20 or $25? i can't recall?
Does anyone know how long is the expiry on the catch gift cards that coles sells?
Should be minimum three years as required by law.
Can anyone confirm whether Telstra recharges are 10 or 15% off ?
It says 10% in the title and furthermore, no one can confirm until the deal starts tomorrow …
Sorry, yes, just remembered it's tomorrow. The fine print says 15% off. Fine print is good enough to catch us out, same should go in reverse too :-)
Will see what happens tomorrow. :)
Coles & Woolworths (and Dan Murphys) often prints out "Apologies, the price was incorrect in the catalog. The correct price is 10%".
Went to Coles in Mango Hill QLD. They could not do the 15% discount even though it is in the fine print.Their register will not let them override the 10% discount that comes up when you select Telstra Recharge Vouchers.
So it is 10% unless things change later today.
@msonu1975: Bought tonight. It's 10%, you get a $30 credit for $27.
I ended up buying the $300 Recharge for $270 today as I had to recharge my prepaid account today (last day) before it expires.
@msonu1975: Were they hanging up ? Had a quick look at my local and only saw up to $150
@scottb721: Nothing is "hanging up".
You just go to a Self-Service machine, touch $300 Telstra Recharge, and pay $270.
Does the discount apply to Catch purchases that are through Marketplace?
Yes, you can use giftcards on market place items.
Not sure if that's what you're asking though.
Does anyone know if you can use Coles egiftcard to buy Catch giftcard?
Yes.
There's a correction up in store with the gift cards saying the fine print is an error, it's 10% off
I gave them a call earlier and asked for the 15% off to be honoured. Still waiting for them to get back to me.
negs, too funny.
They won't get back to you and they won't honour 15%.
There were signs everywhere this morning that it was a mistake. :(
If they have 15% off gift card, will that stack with Shopback's 10% cashback just out of interest
No.
Feeling a bit dumb here - first time Catch gift card buyer, I can't seem to buy these on the Coles website, are they in-store only?
Yes
Was it 20% discount last year or was it same as this ? I remember buying 7 gift card and nothing was said .
