  • How does it compare to samsung sd card?

    • From my experience, just as good. I've used it in my phone and action cams to record 4k videos with no issues.

    • Good quality. I've been using this exact Microsd card on my Sony Hi-Res walkman for six months already. No problem so far.

Has been cheaper in the past, bought it for about $80-90 years ago.

Good old days when AUD on par with USD

      • You mean 2010? Probably would've cost you twice as much back then?

        • I don't think that is the point.

I think the point is that usd/aud was once parity.

This size and speed wasn't available years ago.

      • -1

        really?

  • 70MB/s write

    • -2

      would you care to explain?

      • +5

Ok. When you write data to the card it doesn’t go faster than 70MB/s

        • I guess thats the problem with written words, I understood the write point, just why/when is that speed an issue. But dont bother, Mooreshady below has been kind enough to provide this..

Love how a simple query here garners gooses would just neg a question someone has (btw not saying its you).

For those who did, Not everyone knows everything. Hence the question.

      • -1

It depends on what you use this card in. The overall read/write transfer speed is 100MB/s, which is perfect for the switch where there is a cap from the hardware.

        • -1

Look at the specs, for x633 it doesn’t go faster than 70

  • +1

Is good for your Nintendo switch, macbook pro as a secondary storage etc. Not for your typical camera photo work as is writing too slow for new cameras. I had the evo select at 90mb write and is buffering like crazy long after a video or photo burst mode.

    • Now thats what I was asking about with Uberiscool's comment. Thank you

  • Would this be good enough to use in a raspberry Pi ???

  • +3

I had one microSD card with Lexar lifetime warranty and when it died on me all of the sudden Lexar has supposedly been sold and my warranty is supposedly with the old company (I'm not sure coz nobody bothers to answer emails etc.) I will never buy this brand ever again :(

  • isnt it better to buy the sandsk ones for $20 more??
