I got enter the gungeon previously and I have sank some serious time into it, highly recommend
one of the best rogue likes ever made… although with an enormous learning curve/difficulty spike

For any commenters who really liked Enter the Gungeon, I highly recommend Spelunky. Different flavour, but I feel like they appeal to the same kind of gamer.
I bloody love Spelunky. Lost track of how many hours I sunk into it over the years, and STILL never managed to finish it. Looking forward to Spelunky 2 which comes out next month (September 15)!
@AngusD: The game itself isn't too difficult. The real challenge is to clear the game killing all the shopkeepers…
I prefer Binding of Isaac which I think has a less steep difficulty curve (though probably a higher end-game difficulty), it has a lot more variation between runs with the powers also, though I did like Gungeon a bit also.
Some other good rogue-lites are Hades (action), Rogue Legacy (action), Slay the Spire (deck building)
I believe Rogue Legacy 2 is out in a few days too.
I am crap at all of them, never been in danger of finishing Isaac, not even after all these years.
I bought God trigger some time back. Ah well nothing beats free

Nintendo Switch is the worst for this.

I'd accuse them of selling the console cheap to scam people into paying more in the long run with their overpriced games, but the console isn't exactly cheap either :)

I saw heaps of games online a week or two ago. Lots of overseas players but their level of English was good. And in game communication was basic but at least it's there.
