Get next gen gaming ready with this sweet deal. I’m not sure if X570 itx motherboards have been this cheap before, but they certainly haven’t in the time I have been looking for one. Looks like they retail in Australia for anywhere between 400 to 440 excluding delivery. This is a great motherboard for an itx build at an awesome price.

type in H110 (or any other chipset name for skylake) as keyword in static ice. You should see plenty of options like
https://www.techbuy.com.au/p/431074/MOTHERBOARD_INTEL_SOCKET…
though for OC capability you will probably need to spend extra for Z170 chipset, which is probably not worth getting new.
amazing, thank you! <3
this definitely wont work…
Computer Alliance had this board back in March for $296 after the 15% discount on ebay.
Awesome price. Wish I had a time machine so I could go back to March.
One pcie slot. Not even a spare 1x slot for a good sound card. Not many rear usb
I know there are people who only want to build a gaming machine with no bells or whistles nor many hdds. But to me this is a lot of money for such a basic board.
Sure, it might OC. But surely only incrementally over much cheaper boards?
you're definitely not an ITX type of person.
next size up for you would be a mATX…
Trying to get a high performance machine into a tiny pc isn't easy thus costing a whole heap more than your classic ATX form factor…
Ah yeah I was thinking matx. Oops.
However, component wise, it shouldn't be more expensive than matx. I guess there could be a price premium for the unusual form factor (not the cost to produce factor).
There is a bit of a premium due to the niche form factor - the Small Form Factor community often jokes about the need to pay a "SFF Tax" on many of our components - but this does not necessarily mean the parts are all the much cheaper to produce. Design for ITX motherboards is more expensive than the larger ones. Designers have to cram quite a few traces for all the different components into a physically smaller (cramped!) space. ITX boards will often have higher layer counts (the PCB itself will be thicker) than their mATX or ATX cousins in order to have enough space for these traces. More layers, more expensive!
Additionally, these high end ITX boards have been coming with higher quality VRM components to compensate for not having room for more components. This board uses a 6+2 phase VRM with 70A power stages - those 70A power stages ain't cheap when compared to the stuff they use on mATX and ATX boards. Those will often have 10+2 (or larger) configurations with 45~55A power stages - much cheaper individual components.
@titeywitey: Great explanation. Thanks
The B450 equivalents for the form factor retail for about 220-270 (maybe 200 on a bargain or deal)
There's a premium for the ITX form factor mobos in general
I bought the same brand b450 board for 220 a couple months ago
How would you suggest putting more than 1pcie slot in an itx board?
I agree on the i/o panel as gigabyte auros series has the shittiest layout of any itx boards.
Not sure were you got that idea from. There's literally only 1 other AM4 ITX motherboard that has more USB ports than this one - ASUS x570 itx. And THAT one ain't cheap.
One pcie slot. Not even a spare 1x slot for a good sound card. Not many rear usb
Still tossing up if this is worth 100 dollars extra over a B450 ITX.
The way I see it is you are future proofing your build. The benefit of next gen ryzen, improved thermals and nvme 4.0.
Yup I'm literally planning on low balling my CPU and gfx this Gen and then bump big when 4xxx series and rdna2 drop.
Also pcie 4.0
almost pulled the trigger on this one from Umart this morning for $399 (with premium)
Wow this must be well and truly over - shows as $472.00 + $15.78 delivery for me…
I can't find any board that my 6700k will work with :(
At least not in any official retailers
